TCM Treatment for Hair Loss

TCM Treatment for Hair Loss

Nowadays, many people have symptoms of hair loss. This symptom is not uncommon. Because these patients frequently engage in mental activities, this type of people are more likely to develop symptoms of hair loss. As for some treatments for hair loss, Traditional Chinese Medicine has a relatively special set of treatments, which is to treat the root cause. Hair loss is closely related to our kidneys, so Chinese medicine mainly focuses on replenishing kidney qi through Chinese medicine.

Although hair loss is a relatively common symptom, we should still take it seriously because it can easily affect our appearance and body quality. It is most important for patients to correctly find out the specific cause of hair loss when undergoing treatment.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, the essence of the kidney is in the hair, and hair is the residue of blood. "Suwen Shanggu Tianzhen Lun" said: "When a man is eight years old, his kidney qi is strong, his hair grows and his teeth change." "At fifty-eight, his kidney qi declines, his hair falls out, his teeth wither, and when the blood declines, the hair declines." Chao Yuanfang of the Sui Dynasty said in "Zhubing Yuanhou Lun": "If the blood is abundant, it nourishes the hair, so the hair is beautiful. If the blood and qi are weak, the meridians are exhausted and cannot nourish the hair, so the hair falls out." "Chao also pointed out: "Combing your hair frequently can prevent blood stagnation and keep hair roots strong. "Blood heat can also cause hair loss. Zhang Congzheng of the Yuan Dynasty said in "Ru Men Shi Qin": "People whose hair falls out early or becomes flaky at a young age have excessive blood heat. "Introduction to Medicine" also believes that: "The gallbladder meets the bladder, nourishes the hair, and when the wind is strong, it will cause dryness, and when the juice is exhausted, it will become dry. This understanding stipulated methods of tonifying the kidney, nourishing blood, activating blood circulation, cooling blood or removing wind in treatment, which had a great influence on later generations and is still used today.

In terms of treatment, "The Authentic Surgery" uses the method of nourishing blood and dispelling wind, with medicinal herbs such as angelica, chuanxiong, white peony root, gastrodia elata, notopterygium, rehmannia glutinosa, papaya, and dodder seed; fresh ginger is used for rubbing externally. For those who have not recovered for a long time, the seven-star needle can be used for tapping once a day. This is one of the old but effective methods. As for the Erzhi Pills in "Yifang Jijie", it is a medicine for the foot Shaoyin meridian. Fructus Ligustri Lucidi is sweet and mild in nature, and can nourish the liver and kidney. Herba Ecliptae is sweet and cold in nature, and can enter the kidney to nourish essence. Therefore, it can benefit the lower part and nourish the upper part, strengthen the yin and blacken the hair. Erzhi Pills are indeed nourishing without being greasy, tonic without being dry, and have the effect of cooling blood and moistening dryness. They are an excellent remedy for treating alopecia areata. If you add Polygonum multiflorum, Rehmannia root, Chinese angelica, and wolfberry seeds to increase the nourishing effect, and use Cortex Moutan and Platycladus orientalis leaves to help cool the blood and moisturize the body, the therapeutic effect will be more ideal.

Through this article, you can learn that hair loss can also be treated through traditional Chinese medicine methods. Although these methods are relatively common, many people do not pay enough attention to them. People who do mental work should pay more attention to rest and take corresponding measures to avoid the symptoms of hair loss, which are difficult to deal with at this time.
