About Herpes Keratitis

Although medicine is becoming more and more advanced, the number of diseases we suffer from is indeed increasing, and they are becoming more and more strange. Herpes virus keratitis was never heard of before, but now more and more people are suffering from it. What kind of disease is herpes virus keratitis? What specific types does it fall into? And how does it develop? Here we will briefly introduce some of the phenomena of herpes virus keratitis.

Herpes virus keratitis can be divided into two major types: the first is type I virus and the second is type II virus. These two types of viral keratitis appear in two different locations. Type I virus is most common above the waist, while type II virus is the opposite of type I virus and appears below the waist.

There are many cases of herpes virus keratitis, and it is highly contagious to the human body. The most common victims are children. The incidence rate in adults over 20 years old is relatively low. Because adults have antibodies and their resistance is stronger than that of children, the incidence rate is relatively much lower. Herpes virus keratitis favors children who have no resistance or immunity to the virus. Children aged 6 months to 5 years are most at risk.

The specific manifestations of herpes virus keratitis are as follows:

1. Overt or latent infection, herpes virus keratitis spreads from tears to the cornea and conjunctiva deep in the eye.

2 Latent neural infection is also a source of herpes virus keratitis. It lurks along the nerves from the trigeminal nerve endings, and the virus disappears from the surrounding tissues.

3 Herpes virus keratitis is most serious when the virus multiplies in the surrounding tissues and spreads into the tears.

4 Herpes virus keratitis may also cause recurrence of keratitis.

5 It can also lie dormant in neurons again, waiting to cause disease when the time is right.

Herpes virus keratitis can cause serious harm to the body. If you have the above symptoms, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible to prevent the condition from worsening. In addition, herpes virus keratitis is contagious to a certain extent, so it must be cleaned with separate detergents to avoid infecting others.
