What are the methods of TCM to treat nephritis?

Single Herb Prescription

1) Carp: Take a 1-1.5 kg black carp, cut open its abdomen, clean out the intestines and internal organs, seal it with yellow mud, and roast it in charcoal fire. It can be used for acute nephritis of wind-heat stagnation in the lungs and dampness accumulation, or chronic nephritis of liver-kidney yin deficiency and liver-yang hyperactivity.

3) Imperatae Imperatae is the best diuretic. Use 60 grams of fresh Imperata root (30 grams of dried) to boil a soup and take it frequently. Suitable for patients with edema and hematuria. It can be used for acute nephritis with wind-heat stagnation in the lungs and dampness and toxic accumulation. Heat toxicity attacks the flesh, burns to the yin and blood type, and chronic nephritis of spleen and kidney yang deficiency and water and dampness flooding type.

4) Black sesame: Fry the black sesame seeds and grind them into powder, then add sugar and drink with boiled water. It can be used for people with chronic nephritis who have suffered from long-term coldness in the lower abdomen.

5) Black plum and black plum charcoal, 3 grams per day, divided into 2 doses. Take it for seven or eight weeks. This prescription is quite effective in eliminating urinary protein and can be used for nephritis with spleen and kidney deficiency and essence and blood deficiency.

6) Cook 500 grams of winter melon into 3 bowls of soup and take it in 3 doses. It is suitable for acute nephritis of wind-heat stagnation in the lungs, dampness and toxic accumulation type, and internal attack of heat and toxicity, and burns to the yin and blood type.
