When to take ascarid medicine

Children's body resistance is not as good as adults, so they can easily be infected with germs or have roundworms enter their bodies. If roundworms are not treated immediately, it will cause great harm to the child's body. Therefore, for children with roundworms in their bodies, it is best to feed them anti-roundworm medicine.

I believe everyone should be familiar with anti-worm medicine. Generally, adults do not take anti-worm medicine, but children do. This is mainly because children are more likely to have roundworms enter their bodies, while adults have better resistance and are not easily susceptible to roundworms entering.

The mebendazole in the roundworm medicine is used in children at a daily dosage of 50-150 mg and adults at a dosage of 100 mg each time, once in the morning and evening, for 3 consecutive days. If the roundworms are not completely expelled, a second course of treatment can be started after three weeks. The drug is more effective in expelling roundworms and has few side effects. When this drug is used to expel parasites for large-scale infections, abdominal pain and diarrhea may occur, but they are relatively mild.

If it is levamisole, the dosage is 150 mg, taken once. The drug's anthelmintic effect is not as good as tobendazole, but it is better than piperazine. The side effects are mild, and there may be occasional nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, etc. A small number of patients develop mild liver damage after taking the drug. It should be used with caution in early pregnancy, liver, and kidney diseases.

Patients can also undergo anthelmintic treatment by taking 2 tablets of Enteric Worm Clear before bedtime. It is recommended that your family members receive treatment at the same time. Ascariasis, the larval stage causes the disease: clinical symptoms such as fever, cough, asthma, bloody sputum, and an increased proportion of eosinophils in the blood. The adult stage causes the disease: symptoms such as loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and intermittent periumbilical pain are common. Some may experience symptoms such as urticaria, skin itching, angioedema, and conjunctivitis.

In fact, if you can exercise regularly in your daily life and improve your nutrition in your diet, it can help improve your resistance to a certain extent, which can reduce the possibility of roundworms entering the body. In addition, you should also pay attention to personal hygiene in your life and wash your hands after meals.
