Stick to one bathing method and all diseases will disappear

Taking a bath may seem like a simple question, but how many people actually know how to take a bath? Is this the right way to take a shower? Now let’s see how to take a bath to help you live a hundred years longer.

It is probably women's nature to enjoy taking a bath. They are keen on keeping their bodies clean and cannot tolerate sweat and dirt on their skin (even if these sweat and dirt are only noticeable under a microscope) to accompany them for more than 24 hours. Taking a bath every day is the minimum, and therefore they often add the word "stinky" in front of the men who are not so conscientious about taking a bath. However, a recent dermatology study from the State University of Mexico has poured a bucket of cold water on the heads of clean-loving ladies, as well as men who bathe too frequently - bathing too frequently can cause skin cancer.

Longevity bathing method can make you live to be 100 years old

Mr. Ma Yinchu is a famous scholar in our country. On his 100th birthday, he was still vigorous and his face was rosy. Before his death, Mr. Ma once said: "The two things that benefit my body the most are taking hot and cold baths and climbing mountains." Mr. Ma took hot and cold baths all year round, day after day for decades.

Mr. Ma learned this "longevity bathing method" from an American doctor in his 90s when he entered Yale University in the United States for further studies in 1906.

Longevity "Hot and Cold Bath" Method

The hot and cold bath method is simple, that is: take a hot bath before going to bed every day, and the water temperature should be within the tolerance of the body. After washing, "sleep" in hot water for 15 minutes. As usual, you will sweat a lot after getting out of the bath. After 3 to 4 minutes, enter the cold water basin or take a cold shower.

Hot and cold baths must be "hot first and then cold". Based on his own experience, Mr. Ma summarized the "hot first then cold" bathing method into three major benefits: first, when taking a hot bath, the sweat pores all over the body expand, and the dirt in the body is discharged with sweat; second, hot water makes the blood flow smoothly, promotes metabolism, and makes people refreshed; third, the blood vessels throughout the body expand due to taking a hot bath, and contract due to taking a cold bath. The expansion and contraction of blood vessels increases their elasticity, making them less likely to harden, blood pressure less likely to rise, and strokes in old age. This is indeed the reason why Mr. Ma lives a long life.

Four taboos of bathing should not be ignored

1. It is not advisable to take a bath after a full meal

Eat a full meal, take a bath, and surf the Internet comfortably. Such a life sounds so wonderful. However, this poses a huge health risk!

Because after a full meal, the stomach and intestines need to digest and absorb the food. If you take a shower at this time, the blood vessels in the skin will dilate, a large amount of blood will be concentrated on the body surface, and the blood supply to the abdominal cavity will be reduced accordingly, which can easily lead to indigestion and gastrointestinal dysfunction. At the same time, you may also experience symptoms such as chest tightness, dizziness, hypoglycemia, and even collapse and fainting.

Therefore, it is best to take a bath 1-2 hours after a meal.

2. Don’t take a shower immediately after strenuous exercise or when you are hungry

If you take a shower immediately after strenuous exercise, it can easily cause insufficient blood supply to the heart and brain, or even fainting. If you take a shower when you are hungry, your blood sugar will not be replenished in time, and you can easily experience dizziness, blurred vision, and general weakness. In severe cases, you may even suffer from hypoglycemia and coma.

3. Don’t go to bed right after taking a shower

Although taking a bath can improve sleep, it is not advisable to go to bed immediately after taking a bath. Because the body temperature will rise after taking a shower, it is not conducive to the secretion of "melatonin", a hormone that helps sleep. It is best to schedule a bath 1-2 hours before bedtime. After taking a bath, you can do a hydrating mask or listen to some light music, and then go to sleep peacefully after everything has calmed down.

At the same time, you need to pay attention to the fact that you must blow dry your hair before going to bed after taking a shower. If you sleep with wet hair as a pillow, it will not only seriously affect the quality of sleep, but also easily cause headaches.

4. Don’t take a bath for too long

Some people like to take a bath, or even listen to music in the bathtub. But taking a bath for too long is not good for your health. Taking a bath for too long can easily make people tired and cause ischemia and hypoxia of the heart. In severe cases, it can cause coronary artery spasm, thrombosis, and even induce arrhythmia and sudden death. In addition, if you bathe for too long, the blood supply to the head will be reduced, which can easily lead to cerebral ischemia and accidents. Therefore, if you take a tub bath, 20 minutes is enough.
