What are the symptoms of low blood pressure?

Many people now have low blood pressure, especially women. Because many girls do not eat to lose weight, which leads to malnutrition and can cause low blood pressure. The symptoms of low blood pressure cannot be ignored. Low blood pressure manifests itself in confusion, nausea, sleepiness, physical fatigue, and lack of energy. In severe cases, it can also lead to insufficient qi and blood, and other symptoms. There are many symptoms of low blood pressure, and severe cases may even cause shock.

If you have low blood pressure for a long time, you can supplement it with food. You can eat some nutritious soups, such as bone soup, chicken soup, and it is best to add some dates. Also, when you are free, drink more brown sugar water, eat more vegetables, and have a reasonable diet. Also, ensure sleep and increase exercise, all of which can restore your blood pressure to normal.

Symptoms of low blood pressure:

Dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, loss of appetite, fatigue, pale complexion, indigestion, motion sickness, etc.

Severe symptoms: Orthostatic vertigo, cold limbs, palpitations, dyspnea, ataxia, slurred speech, and even syncope, convulsions, and the need for long-term bed rest.

@@Hypotension can be divided into acute and chronic. The hypotension we usually discuss is mostly chronic hypotension. According to statistics, the incidence of chronic hypotension is about 4%, and can be as high as 10% in the elderly population.

Classification of chronic hypotension

1. Constitutional hypotension is generally believed to have nothing to do with heredity or weak constitution. It is more common in women and the elderly aged 20-50. Mild cases may have no symptoms, while severe cases may experience mental fatigue, dizziness, headache, and even fainting. Symptoms are more pronounced in the summer when temperatures are higher.

2. Orthostatic hypotension Orthostatic hypotension is a sudden drop in blood pressure of more than 20 mmHg when the patient changes from a lying position to an upright position or stands for a long time, accompanied by obvious symptoms such as: dizziness, blurred vision, fatigue, nausea, cognitive dysfunction, palpitations, cervical and spine pain, etc. Orthostatic hypotension can be caused by a variety of diseases, such as multiple system atrophy, diabetes, Parkinson's syndrome, or other conditions such as long-term bedridden patients and frail elderly people.

3. Secondary hypotension is hypotension caused by certain diseases or drugs, such as syringomyelia, rheumatic heart disease, antihypertensive drugs, antidepressants, chronic malnutrition and hemodialysis.

4. Postprandial hypotension: Hypotension occurring after a meal.

5. Urinary hypotension: Sudden fainting and unconsciousness during or after urination, returning to normal within 2-3 minutes after the attack. It is mostly caused by the sudden emptying of the bladder after it is full at night, which causes a sudden decrease in abdominal pressure, venous dilation, reduced blood return to the heart, and a drop in blood pressure.

6. Drug-induced hypotension Elderly people taking antihypertensive drugs such as methyldopa, guanethidine, pargyline, diazepam, chlorpromazine, perphenazine, hydrochlorothiazide, furosemide, antianginal drugs such as isopropylamine, nitroglycerin, etc. due to illness can also cause hypotension

Nowadays, people generally believe that there are more patients with hypertension than patients with hypotension. In fact, they are the same. Low blood pressure is even more dangerous than high blood pressure. Both are very harmful to the body. Students with low blood pressure suffer from dizziness, poor memory, and other symptoms. The elderly suffer from forgetfulness, poor appetite, dizziness, lack of oxygen and other symptoms. Patients with hypotension should supplement a lot of nutrition.
