What are the symptoms of viral blisters

Everyone knows that skin diseases become rampant every spring. Not only do various types of influenza begin to rage, but various pollens also make people who are allergic to them feel uncomfortable. Severe cases can even be life-threatening. Herpes zoster is a viral blister that is most prevalent in spring. So many people want to ask, "What are the symptoms of viral blisters?" Let me share with you today.

With everyone's doubts, let us understand that shingles is a common disease. It is more common in spring and autumn and less common in children. There may be prodromal symptoms such as fever and general discomfort before the onset of the disease. The skin on the affected side begins to feel burning and painful, and local tension increases. Subsequently, irregular erythema and clusters of herpes appear on the skin. These are millet-sized transparent blisters surrounded by red halos. They scab and fall off in 7 to 10 days, and most of them heal in 2 to 4 weeks. VZV can invade the facial, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar nerves. 15% to 20% of cases invade the trigeminal nerve. In rare cases, it can invade motor nerves, such as the facial nerve. Severe cases may be complicated by pneumonia and meningitis. Depending on the nerves invaded, the herpes is distributed in a characteristic band-like pattern, mostly unilaterally and not beyond the midline. If VZV invades the first branch, conjunctivitis and keratitis may occur. If the geniculate ganglion of the facial nerve is invaded, facial paralysis, pain in the external auditory canal, herpes zoster in the ear, herpes in the oropharynx, tinnitus, decreased taste, etc. may occur, which is called geniculate ganglion syndrome. As age increases, the symptoms of herpes zoster become more severe and the course of the disease is prolonged. Some people continue to have nerve pain symptoms for months or longer after the herpes has healed.

This shows that we should strengthen our physical fitness and improve our disease resistance. The elderly should also adhere to appropriate outdoor activities or participate in sports to strengthen their physical fitness and improve their body's ability to resist disease. More attention should be paid to the nutrition of the diet, eating more soy products, fish, eggs, lean meat and other protein-rich foods and fresh fruits and vegetables to keep the body strong and prevent various diseases that are directly or indirectly related to this disease.
