What causes blisters on thumb?

In our daily life, there will be various problems that arise inexplicably, such as blisters on the thumb, which sometimes itch. So what is the reason for blisters on the thumb?

In fact, blisters on the thumb are likely to be fungal infections, and antifungal drugs can be used, such as Daknin and Fuqi. However, one thing to note is that the treatment of ringworm-like diseases must be long-term and effective, and cannot be stopped and started. First soak the skin in warm water to soften it (to help the drug penetrate subcutaneously), then apply the drug several times a day. Continue the treatment for a period of time.

There is another situation. If there are patches or 3 or 5 bright blisters like small blisters and they itch when scratched, it should be tinea manuum or tinea pedis. If the symptoms are serious, you should go to the hospital for treatment. If the symptoms are mild, you don’t need to go to the hospital. Here are some small folk remedies:

1. 10g of Saposhnikovia divaricata, 30g of Dictamni cortex, 10g of Atractylodes macrocephala, 30g of Sophora flavescens, 10g of Cicadae pericarp, 6g of Sesame seed, 30g of Gypsum gypsum, 30g of Coix seed, and 10g of Achyranthes bidentata. Decoction in water, 1 dose per day, divided into 2 doses.

2. Angelica 12g, processed Polygonum multiflorum 15g, safflower 10g, white peony root 10g, raw rehmannia glutinosa 20g, ligusticum chuanxiong 6g, tribulus terrestris 20g, cortex diffusae 30g, atractylodes 10g, coix seed 30g. Decoction in water, 1 dose per day, divided into 2 doses.

3. Decoction of angelica, gallnut, hibiscus bark, prickly ash, realgar wine and cnidium monnieri in water, one dose per day, divided into two doses.

4. 30g green salt, 20g alum, 20g pepper, 30g dandelion, 30g mugwort, and 500g aged vinegar. Add appropriate amount of water to the casserole or enamel bottle and boil it for 20 minutes, then wash the affected area while it is hot. Do this once a day for 20 to 30 minutes each time. It is effective for stubborn ringworm on hands and feet.

5. Take 30g each of alum, gallnut, Kochia scoparia, Cnidium monnieri, Sophora flavescens, 25g each of maple, Sichuan pepper, and Phellodendron chinense, grind them into powder and soak them in 1000ml of vinegar for 1 week. Soak the affected area twice a day for 30 minutes each time. Each dose can be used for 7 days.

6. Take 10g each of realgar and coptis root, 30g each of sophora flavescens, smilax glabra, saposhnikovia divaricata, and schizonepeta tenuifolia, and 6g of borneol. Boil the first 7 herbs for 30 minutes, add borneol after boiling, remove the residue, and soak the affected area for 20 minutes when it is warm, 4 times a day.

7. 15 grams each of Nepeta, alum, pepper, and cockscomb, and 250 grams of rice vinegar. Except rice vinegar, boil all the medicines in water, mix the juice with rice vinegar, and soak the affected hand in the juice, 2 to 3 times a day. Each dose of medicine can be used for 1 to 2 days.

8. Cod liver oil for tinea manuum

Squeeze the cod liver oil capsule and apply a small amount externally. If there is no allergic reaction after a few hours, you can apply a large amount, 3 to 4 times a day, and it will be healed in about a week.

9. Iodine cures ringworm

At first, I applied iodine once or twice a day, which temporarily relieved the itching but did not heal the disease. Later, I applied iodine four or five times a day to the affected area. A layer of skin on the affected area gradually dried and fell off, and the tinea manuum or tinea pedis was cured.

In addition, we must also pay attention to personal hygiene, do not use public slippers, foot basins, cleaning cloths, etc., change shoes and socks frequently, wash foot cloths or towels frequently, and pay attention to keeping feet clean and dry; do not drink or drink less irritating beverages, such as strong tea, coffee, alcohol, etc., eat a light diet, do not eat irritating food, and wipe the moisture between the toes after washing your feet or taking a bath at night. The purpose is to keep the toes dry as much as possible to prevent reinfection of the epidermis with fungi. Wash and dry clothes and quilts frequently. Reduce sweating and try not to rinse the affected area with water after applying the medicine on your feet.
