Press and rub the Weizhong point Place the tip of the middle finger of the healthy side on the Weizhong point of the affected limb, place the thumb above the patella, and massage with appropriate force for 0.5 to 1 minute. Efficacy: Promote blood circulation, reduce swelling, dredge meridians and relieve pain. 4. Press and rub Yanglingquan acupoint Place the tip of your thumb on the Yanglingquan point on the affected limb on the same side, and place the other four fingers on the calf, pressing and rubbing with appropriate force for 0.5 to 1 minute. Efficacy: Soothes the liver and gallbladder, relieves spasms and relieves pain. 5. Press and rub Zusanli acupoint Overlap the index finger and middle finger of the healthy hand, place the tip of the middle finger on the Zusanli point of the affected limb, and press with appropriate force for 0.5 to 1 minute. Efficacy: Nourishes the spleen and stomach, and harmonizes qi and blood. 6. Press and rub the Tiaokou acupoint Place the affected limb flat on the knee of the healthy limb, place the middle finger of the healthy side on the Tiaokou acupoint, and press and rub with appropriate force for 0.5 to 1 minute. Efficacy: Clear the meridians, relieve spasms and relieve pain. 7. Pinch Chengshan acupoint Place the tip of your thumb on the Chengshan point on the same side, and press with appropriate force for 0.5 to 1 minute. Press Kunlun and Taixi points Place the affected limb flat on the knee of the healthy limb, and press the Taixi and Kunlun points with the pads of the thumb and middle finger of the healthy side respectively. Press hard with the two fingers for 0.5 to 1 minute. Efficacy: Regulate Qi and blood, reduce swelling and relieve pain. Quick Facts Weizhong Point: Located in the middle of the transverse line of the knee joint (i.e. the horizontal line in the knee joint when the knee is bent). Yanglingquan Point: Located at the enlarged part of the upper end of the fibula - the depression in front and below the head of the fibula. Zusanli Point: Located 3 inches below the outer kneecap, about 1 inch between the tendons on the outer side of the tibia. Tiaokou acupoint: 8 inches below the outer kneecap, on the long bone on the front of the calf ——Approximately 1 finger width from the anterior crest of the tibia. Chengshan Point: Located in the middle of the back of the calf, in the depression between the flesh, the midpoint of the line connecting Weizhong Point and Kunlun Point. Kunlun Point: Located in the depression between the tip of the lateral malleolus and the Achilles tendon. Taixi Point: Located in the depression between the tip of the medial malleolus and the Achilles tendon, opposite to Kunlun Point. Self-massage can be done during an attack.
