What does evil attacking Shaoyang syndrome mean?

When it comes to the evil invading Shaoyang syndrome, not everyone is familiar with it. In fact, the basic disease is still rare in life. It usually affects our diet, such as loss of appetite, often lack of energy, feeling very weak, always wanting to sleep, and always having a bitter taste in the mouth when eating, and occasionally causing dry retching. Let us understand what this disease is like?

Common Diseases

Also known as "Shaoyang disease", one of the six meridian syndromes. The evil is half inside and half outside. The main symptoms are alternating chills and fever, fullness and bitterness in the chest and flanks, loss of appetite, irritability and nausea, as well as bitter taste in the mouth, dry throat, dizziness, and a stringy pulse.

(1) Typhoid fever, stroke and Shaoyang syndrome are characterized by irregular alternation of chills and fever, fullness in the chest and flanks, silence and loss of appetite, restlessness and nausea, or abdominal pain, thirst or cough, diarrhea or palpitations, difficulty urinating, bitter taste in the mouth, deafness, and a stringy pulse.

Because pathogenic factors reach the half-exterior and half-interior part, the positive and negative forces fight against each other. If the positive force wins, there will be fever, and if the pathogen wins, there will be chills. Therefore, chills and fever appear alternately and occur at irregular times. The half-exterior and half-interior part is located in the foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian, which runs through the two flanks and the hand Shaoyang Triple Burner Meridian and the pericardium. When wind evil invades this area, the heart qi cannot pass through smoothly, so there is restlessness and fullness; sometimes it invades the chest and flanks, so there is chest and flank pain; the patient can eat when the pathogenic factors are on the surface, but cannot eat when they enter the interior. It is between the exterior and the interior, so the patient just does not want to eat, but is not unable to eat. If the disease is on the surface, there will be no restlessness or vomiting, but if it is inside, there will be restlessness and vomiting. It is between the exterior and the interior, so the patient just feels restless and likes to vomit. The interior is weak and the flanks are hot, so there may be thirst, diarrhea, or abdominal pain; and there is fluid stagnation in the chest, so there is palpitations and difficulty urinating; the Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian is connected to the ear, and the gallbladder meridian is affected by the evil, so there is deafness; the gallbladder qi overflows, so there is bitterness in the mouth.

(2) Malaria is characterized by alternating shivers and high fever, which occur once a day or every two or three days at regular intervals, accompanied by severe headaches, thirst, and excessive sweating.

As the malarial evil invades the human body and hides between the surface and the interior, if it enters and fights with the yin it causes cold, and if it leaves and fights with the yang it causes heat, so chills and high fever appear alternately, with each coming and going.

(3) Heat enters the blood chamber of a woman. The blood chamber is the Chong channel. If a woman is infected with external pathogens for seven or eight days and has not recovered, the pathogenic factors will spread to the interior of the body. However, it happens that her menstruation comes at the same time, so the pathogenic factors cannot enter the internal organs and take the opportunity to enter the blood chamber. Alternatively, if her menstruation has just stopped, the external pathogens can also take the opportunity to enter the blood chamber. The heat pathogens will stagnate in the blood and cause alternating chills and heat. The heat pathogens will invade the body and the woman will talk nonsense during the day, as if she has seen a ghost.

In addition, qi stagnation turning into fire may sometimes cause symptoms of alternating cold and heat that are half superficial and half interior.
