Sex hormone secretion disorder

Sex hormone secretion disorder

Society is developing at a rapid pace. As people living in modern times, we are constantly under various pressures from work and life. The increasing pressure from work and life, coupled with the irregularities of daily diet and rest, leads to endocrine disorders. The causes of endocrine disorders that we talk about in our daily lives are actually very complicated, but when it comes down to internal factors, it is mainly because our unreasonable living conditions cause the secretion of sex hormones in our bodies to be disordered.

What are sex hormones? In fact, there are six sex hormones, namely follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, progesterone, estradiol, prolactin, and testosterone. These hormones are secreted by the reproductive organs. Since the reproductive organs of men and women are different and have different functions, the content of sex hormones in men and women is different. Next, we will mainly talk about the impact of sex hormone disorders on us women.

In addition to causing menstrual disorders, infertility and other symptoms, female sex hormone imbalance can also cause hirsutism and acne. Many scholars have studied the relationship between sex hormone levels in acne patients, especially androgen levels, and acne. Studies have shown that the onset of common acne is clearly related to elevated androgen levels. Medical research has confirmed that sebaceous glands are one of the target organs of androgens, which means that the development and secretion of sebaceous glands are directly controlled by androgens. Therefore, the increase in androgen secretion in the body during adolescence is one of the main causes of acne. Regardless of gender, if androgen secretion is excessive, it will stimulate sebaceous gland hyperplasia and increased sebum synthesis, which can easily cause sebum outflow to be blocked and sebum retention in the hair follicles and sebaceous glands, causing acne. Androgens bind to androgen receptors on the sebaceous glands, prompting the sebaceous glands to secrete sebum.

The above is the connection between sex hormone imbalance and acne. From it we can see that sex hormones really affect many aspects of our lives, whether it is acne or infertility and other diseases. For this reason, we should pay more attention to adjusting our own physical condition, balancing the body's endocrine and nutritional supplements, and preventing endocrine disorders.
