What happens if nephritis becomes severe?

Most cases of acute nephritis manifest as an acute process, which can be completely cured on its own within a certain period of time, or completely cured through treatment, and only affects the patient's life and work during the acute onset of the disease. However, if acute nephritis develops rapidly, or serious complications such as hypertensive encephalopathy occur during the acute process, this type of nephritis will endanger life and health.

On the contrary, chronic nephritis usually does not cause obvious discomfort in the early and middle stages after onset, and does not seem to directly affect the patient's life and work, but the disease is actually still progressing, that is, it gradually worsens and is easy to be ignored. Once it develops to the late stage, it often develops into uremia, which threatens life. Since chronic nephritis patients require long-term treatment, it is a huge mental and financial burden on patients and their families. The harmfulness of nephritis is obvious.

The damage caused by nephritis includes: no history of nephritis in the past, hematuria and/or proteinuria often occur due to infection or overwork, and quickly subside or disappear after a short period of rest. This recurred without any significant clinical symptoms.
