One thing that makes our muscle cells different from many other cells in our body is that after being damaged, muscle cells do not regenerate to fill the gap like other cells do. Instead, specialized cells in the body form fibrous tissue to fill the gap. This situation is what we often call muscle fibrosis. Today I will give you a brief introduction to the common symptoms of cellular fibrosis. If muscle fibrosis occurs, it will affect the muscle's contraction elasticity and weaken the muscle strength, and it will also feel stiffer. It is better to see a doctor for diagnosis to avoid worries. Basically, if muscle fibrosis has been confirmed by muscle pathology, whether it will affect muscles in other parts of the body depends on the nature of the disease (that is, the final diagnosis given by the doctor). If the eye muscles are invaded, it is most likely to affect the rotation of the eyeball, showing symptoms of diplopia; if the pupillary muscle is affected, it will show a problem of adjustment, not astigmatism (astigmatism is mainly caused by uneven cornea). There are two muscles that affect breathing, one is in the respiratory tract, and the other is the chest muscle. If either is affected, the breathing function will be affected. Many muscle injuries are caused by sports, but most sports injuries can be cured without surgery and can heal naturally; injuries that require surgical treatment are mostly serious injuries that affect the bone structure, joint movement, or joint stability. Prevention of sports injuries 1. Warm-up activities: Warm-up activities can increase blood flow and oxygen uptake, increase nerve conduction and responsiveness, high blood flow and oxygen uptake, and reduce joint stiffness to increase the range of motion. Generally speaking, a 15-30 minute warm-up can last for 30-45 minutes, so warming up too early won't help much. (ii) Stretching exercises: mainly to allow the joints to move smoothly to the limit, so as to increase the elasticity of muscles, tendons, and ligaments, which is also called stretching. Stretching exercises can reduce the chance of muscle and tendon injuries, reduce the chance of muscle soreness, and improve the effectiveness of activities. It is important to stretch before and after exercise to allow the muscles, tendons, and ligaments to gradually return to a resting state. (iii) Use of sports protective gear or taping: The main purpose is to limit the movement of the joint in a certain direction, or to limit the movement beyond a certain range. For areas that have been injured or are prone to strain, use protective gear or taping to prevent injury. Whether cell fibrosis will affect our health depends on the individual and the location of the fibrotic muscles. Generally, it will not cause much impact. As long as we pay attention to safety in daily work and exercise, we can avoid the occurrence of muscle fibrosis. If muscle fibrosis has affected your daily life, you should seek medical attention immediately. |
