How to deal with a broken arm

How to deal with a broken arm

Bumps and bruises are inevitable in life, especially for farmers who do farm work. They are often injured by kitchen utensils. It is common to get skin broken on arms and legs. If the broken skin is relatively large, emergency treatment of the wound is required, otherwise infection will easily occur. The infection can cause fever in the human body. So, how should you deal with a broken skin on your arm?

When the skin on the arm is scratched, tissue exudation may occur. This is mainly to prevent wound infection. If the wound is not infected in the later stage, it will generally heal by scabbing in a few days.

Band-Aids can easily cause wounds to become infected and ulcerated. Remove the Band-Aid and apply some disinfectant, mercurochrome, gentian violet, etc., and it will heal quickly.

The injury is not too serious, it is only a local soft tissue abrasion and bruise. It is recommended that you apply cold compress first to reduce local edema, and at the same time disinfect the local area to prevent infection.

If the skin is just broken, you can just use some disinfectant locally, such as iodine tincture to disinfect. This place is not easy to heal because it was torn just after it healed due to frequent movement. But it will definitely heal, just a few days slower than other injuries.

Most people often apply "disinfectant" such as gentian violet, hydrogen peroxide, boric acid water, soapy water, salt water, etc. after a wound appears on the skin to prevent infection and promote wound healing. Wang Zhichao, chief physician of general surgery at the Air Force General Hospital of China Medical University, said that some of these "disinfectants" have no disinfecting effect at all, while others have little effect but have significant disadvantages.

Disinfection with "disinfectants" such as gentian violet is quite irritating and not conducive to wound healing; some disinfectants, such as gentian violet, are dark in color and will obscure the wound, making it difficult to judge the extent of the injury. In addition, disinfectant only disinfects the skin surface and mucous membranes. Its penetration is limited and can only act on the superficial surface. It cannot replace antibiotics, and deep-seated bacteria cannot be completely eliminated.
