Deficiency of spleen and kidney qi (yang), retention of dampness Symptoms include: fatigue, soreness of waist and knees, poor appetite, loose stools, edema, spermatorrhea, impotence or menstrual disorders, and even chills and cold limbs, pale and fat tongue with teeth marks, deep and thin pulse or deep, slow and weak pulse. The treatment principles are to strengthen the spleen and kidney, and promote diuresis and blood circulation. The prescription is Sijunzi Decoction combined with Wuzi Yanzong Pills with modifications, and the ingredients include Codonopsis pilosula, Astragalus membranaceus, Atractylodes macrocephala, Lycium barbarum, Cuscuta australis, Epimedium, Dioscorea batatas, Poria cocos, Alisma orientalis, Plantago seed, Angelica sinensis, and Ligusticum chuanxiong. For those who are afraid of cold and have cold limbs, add roasted aconite and cinnamon twig. 3. Liver and kidney yin deficiency, internal dampness and heat Symptoms include: dizziness, tinnitus, dry eyes or blurred vision, soreness of waist and knees, nocturnal emission or menstrual disorders, fever in the five parts of the body, dry mouth and throat, red tongue with little coating, and stringy or fine pulse. The treatment is aimed at nourishing the liver and kidneys, suppressing yang and activating blood circulation. The prescription is Qiju Dihuang Decoction with modifications, and the ingredients include raw rehmannia, rhubarb, fructus Ligustri Lucidi, wolfberry, chrysanthemum, Achyranthes bidentata, earthworm, Uncaria rhynchophylla, salvia miltiorrhiza, motherwort, and angelica. |
