What are the manifestations of Yin deficiency and Qi deficiency constitution?

Generally speaking, if people want to distinguish between Yin deficiency and Qi deficiency, they need to know more about the different manifestations of the two in people. So, what are the symptoms of Yin deficiency and Qi deficiency?

Qi deficiency

It generally refers to physical weakness, pale complexion, shortness of breath, weakness in the limbs, dizziness, sweating when moving, and low voice.

It includes the deficiency of Yuan Qi, Zong Qi and Wei Qi, as well as the decline of Qi's promotion, warming, defense, consolidation and Qi transformation functions, which leads to the decline or decline of certain functional activities of the body, decreased disease resistance and other weakening phenomena.

Human life activities are fundamentally the movement of the rise and fall of vital energy;

Insufficient vital energy can cause many discomforts such as fatigue, soreness in the waist and knees, low and lazy voice, chest tightness and shortness of breath, lack of energy, dizziness, insomnia, forgetfulness, loss of appetite, etc.

Yin deficiency

Refers to the pathological phenomenon of deficiency of essence, blood or body fluid. Because both essence, blood and body fluids are yin, it is called yin deficiency. It is often seen in patients who have internal depletion of yin fluid due to overwork, long-term illness or fever. Because Yin deficiency cannot control fire, the strong fire will burn the Yin fluid and make it more deficient. The two often affect each other. The main symptoms of Yin deficiency are fever in the five parts of the body or hot flashes in the afternoon, night sweats, red cheeks, weight loss, and a red tongue with little coating.

Yin deficiency is mostly caused by blood deficiency, and "Yin deficiency produces internal heat", which manifests as heat in the five hearts, dry mouth and throat, irritability and shortness of breath, yellow urine and dry stools, etc.; physical weakness, palpitations and shortness of breath, dizziness, poor mental state; irregular menstruation, dull complexion, melanin deposition, chloasma and butterfly spots; menopausal distress; premature entry into menopause; generally more common in women, various hyperfunctional diseases such as tuberculosis, long-term low-grade fever, etc.
