TCM treatment of tinnitus, TCM massage for tinnitus

I believe that many people in life have experienced tinnitus. This buzzing sound in the ears from time to time can bring a lot of trouble to our lives. There are many causes of tinnitus, such as kidney deficiency, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, cervical spondylosis, etc. In traditional Chinese medicine, massage can be used to treat tinnitus.

1: Hold your breath and puff up your cheeks

1: Sit quietly and relax. After taking a deep breath, pinch your nostrils with the thumb and index finger of one hand (or hold your breath through both nostrils). Then slowly let the air into your mouth and puff up your cheeks. Continue for 10 to 20 seconds before exhaling. Repeat 3 to 5 times. This allows air to enter the ear canal, regulate the pressure of blood vessels in the ear, improve local blood circulation, and relieve tinnitus symptoms.

2. Massage the acupuncture points around the ear

1: Use the middle fingers or thumbs of both hands to massage the Tinggong, Tinghui, Ermen and Yifeng points on both sides respectively. The strength should be enough to feel soreness and swelling. You can open and close your mouth while massaging to increase the therapeutic effect. Each point should be massaged for about 1 minute.

3. Rub the ears

1: Pinch the base of the ear with the index and middle fingers, lift the index finger slightly forward, apply slight inward pressure, and rub up and down quickly for more than 10 times until the ear is warmed through.

Four: Open your mouth, close your mouth

1: Open your mouth as wide as possible and exhale at the same time, similar to the feeling of a deep yawn. Then take a deep breath and close your mouth. Hold for 3 to 5 seconds and then exhale. Repeat this several times. By moving the facial muscles, you can keep the Eustachian tube open and adjust the pressure balance inside and outside the ear. It is particularly effective for tinnitus caused by collapsed eardrum.

Five: Ming Tian Gu

1: Place both palms behind the ears and slide forward, cover the external auditory canal with the auricle, and place the other fingers naturally on the back of the head. First, squeeze the two palms against each other and relax 5 to 8 times. Then, while squeezing the two palms against each other, keep the two middle fingers close to the scalp, and overlap the index fingertips on the edge of the middle finger nail (or the end of the middle finger), and quickly slide down to hit the head. Gently tap the lower back of the head 36 times, and you can hear a "dong dong" sound. It also has the effect of soothing brain nerves and enhancing memory.

6. Ear Techniques

1: Use the thumb and index finger to rub the earlobe, ear arch, and auricle 3 to 5 times, and gently pull downward, outward, upward, and outward 3 to 5 times.
