The scrotum is an important reproductive organ for men. Problems with the scrotum can have a great impact on men's reproductive health and fertility, such as scrotal cysts. Scrotal cysts are common in men aged 20-40. Currently, medically, it is believed that they are caused by obstruction of the vas deferens leading to accumulation of semen. 1. Diagnosis and treatment1: Generally asymptomatic, sometimes with discomfort or a feeling of heaviness in the scrotum. 2: A round mass is felt on the testicle or epididymis. It is soft, has clear boundaries, is fluctuating, and does not shrink when squeezed. 3: Light transmission test is positive. The cyst puncture fluid is milky white and opaque, and microscopic examination reveals inactive sperm, fat bodies, etc. After being left at room temperature for a short period of time, the previously inactive sperm in the fluid will become active. 4: B-ultrasound can reveal dark areas of fluid in the testicle or epididymis. 2. Treatment Methods1: Conservative treatment: suitable for patients with small cysts, mild symptoms, young patients, and regular follow-up. For patients with concurrent infection and symptoms of hematospermia, oral antibiotics and hemostatics should be given. If necessary, 5-a reductase inhibitors can be used: 1 tablet of Proscar 5 mg a day, or 5 mg of Aprelet 5 mg twice a day, for 1 to 3 months as a course of treatment. 2: Surgical treatment: suitable for patients with large cysts, complicated by stones, obvious symptoms and difficult to cure. The methods include cystectomy or spermatocystectomy on the affected side, suprapubic marsupial suture, and transurethral cystectomy. Transurethral surgery should be performed for patients with seminal vesicle cysts caused by ejaculatory duct stenosis or atresia, such as transurethral ejaculatory duct incision or spermatocele. 3: Treatment by puncture and injection of antibiotics: Puncture and injection of anhydrous alcohol or tetracycline solution into the cyst can shrink the cyst. 3.
