Short-term muscle cramps can be treated and you can return to the game, but the possibility of recurrence is still high. If the muscle cramp lasts for a long time, you can use hot or cold compresses to relieve the pain, or local spraying or applying some muscle relaxant or pain-relieving lotions or ointments are also effective. If cramps occur easily again, you need to consider whether your muscles are over-fatigued or dehydrated. If the former, you must stop the activity and rest, and if the latter, you need to replenish water and electrolytes. If you have frequent hand cramps and Western medicine treatment is not effective, you can try some Chinese medicine methods, starting with nourishing and protecting the liver.
