[Summer-heat and dampness cold] If you suffer from summer heat and dampness, fever, headache, abdominal distension, loss of appetite, and short urine, you can use 3 grams of jasmine, 3 grams of green tea, 6 grams of patchouli, and 6 grams of lotus leaves (chopped), soak them in boiling water, and drink it from time to time. It can treat chest and flank pain caused by liver qi stagnation. [Chronic gastritis] 8 grams of jasmine, 6 grams of calamus, 10 grams of green tea, and appropriate amount of white sugar. Wash jasmine flowers, calamus and green tea with warm water, drain and then mix and grind into fine powder. Take one dose a day, brew with boiling water, add sugar and drink as tea. It has the effects of regulating qi and eliminating dampness, digesting food and relieving pain. It is suitable for chronic gastritis, abdominal distension and pain, and loss of appetite. [Dysmenorrhea in women] 10 grams of jasmine flowers, 5 roses, 100 grams of polished rice, and appropriate amount of rock sugar. Remove impurities from jasmine flowers, rose flowers and polished rice and wash them separately. Put polished rice into a pot with appropriate amount of water, bring to a boil, add jasmine flowers, rose flowers and rock sugar, then simmer until it becomes porridge. This porridge has the effects of soothing the liver and relieving depression, strengthening the spleen and stomach, regulating qi and relieving pain. It is suitable for chest and flank pain caused by liver qi stagnation, flank pain caused by chronic diseases, intercostal neuralgia, dysmenorrhea in women and other symptoms. [Sores, ulcers and swellings] 5 grams of jasmine flowers and appropriate amount of white sugar. Add jasmine flowers and white sugar to 1500 ml of water, boil them, remove the residue and drink. This drink is sweet and fragrant, and has the effects of soothing the liver and regulating qi, stopping diarrhea and detoxifying. It is suitable for chest and flank pain, diarrhea, abdominal pain, sores and swelling. [Abdominal pain caused by dysentery] 5 grams of jasmine flowers, 10 grams of kumquat cake, and 100 grams of polished rice. Grind jasmine flowers into fine powder and cut kumquat cakes into cubes; wash the polished rice clean, add water and cook into porridge, then add kumquat cakes and cook for two or three times; add jasmine powder into the porridge and it is ready to eat. This drink is fragrant and delicious, and has the effects of soothing the liver and regulating qi, strengthening the spleen and stomach, and stopping diarrhea. It is suitable for diseases such as plum pit qi, abdominal distension and pain, and dysentery. In addition, fumigating and washing with an appropriate amount of jasmine decoction, or taking it with 9 grams of honeysuckle and 6 grams of chrysanthemum, can treat red and swollen eyes; grind jasmine root into powder, mix it with cooked egg yolk, and stuff it into caries to treat toothache; use 1 gram of jasmine root, grind it into water and take it, it can calm the nerves and treat insomnia. "Bencao Zhengyi" said: "Nowadays, people often add jasmine to tea for its fragrance. Its function is similar to that of rose and daisy. However, it is a spicy and warm product and should not be used all the time."
