1. Fasting

Before the examination, you need to loosen your belt, take off your glasses and dentures, and follow the doctor's instructions to prevent your dentures from falling off and accidentally entering your respiratory tract or digestive tract.

During the examination, you should relax your whole body, bite the mouth pad in your mouth gently, and never spit it out to avoid damaging the gastroscope; breathe steadily through your nose, and avoid holding your breath or burping frequently; if you have saliva, let it flow out naturally, and do not swallow it.
