What are the symptoms of mycoplasma prostatitis?

Prostatitis seriously affects men's reproductive health. Men should pay attention to observe and understand the symptoms of prostatitis in their daily lives, such as whether there is swelling in the perineum, pain in the lower abdomen, weak urination, or incomplete urination.

1. Acute infection of mycoplasma prostatitis:

The acute infection of mycoplasma prostatitis is more serious than the common prostatitis. First of all, the incubation period is generally 1-7 weeks, and the symptoms usually appear in 4 or 5 weeks. The symptoms will appear after the incubation period, which may be manifested as discomfort in the urethra. After the infection, once the incubation period is over, an acute attack will occur, and there will be frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. There may be purulent secretions or sticky secretions in the urethra, and it will be very painful when urinating.

2. Chronic infection of mycoplasma prostatitis:

After chronic infection of mycoplasma prostatitis, many symptoms may occur, such as swelling of the perineum, lower abdominal pain, and pain that can radiate to the thigh root, or around the anus, or even to the lumbar sacral region, or scrotal pain, especially the feeling of discomfort in the perineum. In addition to the pain, there are also weak urination, delayed urination, incomplete urination, bifurcated urine, white discharge after urination, and unclean urine.

3. Treatment

1. General treatment: Enhance confidence, eliminate mental worries, and control sexual desire, but forced abstinence is not advisable. Avoid alcohol and irritating foods, take a hot water sitz bath once a night, apply local physical therapy, and change obvious triggering factors in your life such as avoiding long periods of cycling. 2. Prostate massage: Regular prostate massage can promote the discharge of prostate inflammatory secretions. It should be done once a week. At the same time, routine examination of prostate fluid can also be performed to evaluate the treatment effect.

3. Drug infusion: insert a special balloon catheter through the urethra, inject sterile saline into the prostatic urethra and aspirate several times to remove purulent secretions, then inject antibiotics once a week.
