High triglycerides are a disease that has a great impact on the human body and is also a type of hyperlipidemia. High triglycerides are extremely harmful to the human body and can even directly cause systemic arteriosclerosis, thereby causing some serious diseases. High triglycerides not only cause some diseases, but also reduce people's quality of life. 1. Promote atherosclerosis The most direct manifestation of the harm of high triglycerides is that it causes atherosclerosis, which causes blood vessel blockage and blood clot formation, which is a type of hyperlipidemia. Of course, patients with fatty liver are often accompanied by hyperlipidemia and increased blood viscosity. The low-density lipoprotein (LDL) in the blood can easily pass through the arterial endothelium and deposit on the blood vessel wall due to its extremely small molecular weight, reducing the elasticity of the arteries, narrowing the diameter, and weakening the flexibility, ultimately leading to blood circulation disorders, blood vessel rupture, and life-threatening conditions. 2. Damage to the liver Fatty liver is the product of disordered liver lipid metabolism, and is also a pathogenic factor that aggravates liver damage. This is a causal and vicious cycle of development. The increase in lipid droplets in liver cells causes fatty degeneration and swelling of liver cells, and the cell nucleus is squeezed and deviated from the center. The metabolism of fat mainly takes place in mitochondria, and the transport of fat to the outside of cells is mainly through the smooth endoplasmic reticulum. The accumulation of fat in liver cells further increases the burden on mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum, reducing their function, and thus affecting the metabolism of other nutrients, hormones, and vitamins. Long-term hepatocyte degeneration can lead to hepatocyte regeneration disorder and necrosis, and then to liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. 3. Induce and aggravate diseases Arteriosclerosis is closely related to hypertension and coronary heart disease. Studies have shown that patients with fatty liver combined with hypertension and coronary heart disease are prone to myocardial infarction and sudden death. Studies have shown that one of the consequences of high triglycerides is that it may lead to cancer. 4. Reduced quality of life Some people with high triglycerides may experience symptoms such as dizziness, shortness of breath, lack of energy, decreased physical strength, anorexia, fatigue, decreased sexual function, chest tightness, pain in the liver area, memory loss, irritability, and frequent fire fever. These adverse effects greatly reduce the quality of life and also affect the development and progress of people's careers and studies. |
