Will my breasts become tender during the luteal phase?

Women become particularly cautious after getting married. Because at this time, your next generation may already be inside your body. Although my husband will take better care of me during this period, I have no experience because it is my first pregnancy. When some situations arise, it is inevitable to feel confused. Some women experience breast tenderness. I suspect that it is because of the luteal phase. Is it true?

The luteal phase refers to the period from ovulation to the day before menstruation. The ovaries are affected by luteinizing hormone and secrete progesterone to maintain the thickened endometrium to facilitate the implantation of the fertilized egg. If the fertilized egg does not implant, the endometrium will collapse and the menstrual cycle ends with the onset of menstruation.

The nipples and milk ducts are very sensitive to estrogen. Under the action of estrogen produced during ovulation, the nipples become larger, redder, and darker in color, and they become very sensitive. At the same time, the milk ducts become thicker, larger, and longer, pushing the nipples outward. You may feel pain when your nipples are rubbed or squeezed while taking a bath or changing underwear. Hello, this is normal. Don't worry. Pay attention to protecting your breasts and keep them clean.

Bleeding

The maintenance of normal corpus luteum function depends on the perfection of the hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian gonadal axis. Abnormalities not only in the luteal phase but also in the follicular phase can lead to corpus luteum dysfunction. It is now generally believed that luteal insufficiency is related to the following factors:

1. Insufficient FSH secretion during the follicular phase, and low levels of FSH and estradiol in the follicular fluid.

2. Insufficient LH peak during ovulation.

3. Insufficient LH secretion during the luteal phase or its pulsatile secretion is insufficient.

4. The steroid hormone receptors of endometrial cells are abnormal and have low responsiveness to hormones secreted by the corpus luteum, that is, the corpus luteum functions normally but the endometrium is underdeveloped.
