How does anal eczema occur? Causes of anal eczema

There are many causes of anal eczema. It may be a complex delayed allergic reaction, it may be caused by local lesions, or it may be a dysfunction of the nervous system. In particular, autonomic nervous system disorders can often induce eczema.

1. Reasons

1. A delayed allergic reaction caused by complex internal and external factors, such as various protein foods, pollen, fur, bacteria, sunlight, cold, dyes, etc. can induce this disease;

2. Local lesions, such as internal and external hemorrhoids, anal fistula, rectal prolapse, fecal incontinence, etc.;

3. Disease factors, such as eczematoid dermatitis in diabetic patients, absorption dysfunction and nutrient deficiency caused by digestive disorders, intestinal parasitic diseases, etc.

4. Irritating factors, such as iodine, alcohol, strong acid, strong alkali, etc. When the body is under excessive fatigue, mental stress, depression or insomnia, it may cause eczema or aggravate certain symptoms of eczema. Dysfunction of the nervous system, especially autonomic nervous system disorders, can often induce eczema.

2. Symptoms

1. Itching: It is the initial symptom and one of the symptoms that prompts patients to seek medical treatment. Patients feel severe itching in the anus and perianal skin, and consciously or unconsciously use their hands to wipe the area through underwear to feel slightly comfortable;

2. Damp anus: It is caused by the secretion of condyloma. In mild cases, the anus is damp all day long, with a fishy smell, and the underwear becomes yellow and hard. In severe cases, the underwear sticks to the anus and needs to be torn off from the sticking place by hand frequently. It is especially aggravated at night.

3. Polymorphic rash: The rash has various morphologies. Initially, it manifests as redness and swelling of the affected skin, which spreads to healthy skin, showing "erythematous eczema"; then scattered or flaky millet-sized papules appear, showing "papular eczema"; as the disease continues to develop, the papules are filled with serous fluid, forming papulovesicles or blisters, showing "vesicular eczema"; after infection, pustules are formed, showing "pustular eczema"; after rupture, the sore surface exudes erosion, showing "erosive eczema"; after the exudate dries, a scab is formed, showing "crusting eczema"; after treatment, the inflammation subsides and the skin is covered with scales, showing "scaly eczema". Due to the long course of the disease and repeated stimulation by secretions, the skin of the anus and perianal area often becomes thickened, leathery, and cracked.
