Some are born with it, while others can be trained. Specifically, we must first understand: First take a breath, then open your mouth and throat, and try to find a state where you can't make any sound and you can't even breathe. When you start, your abdomen will feel very tired because your vocal cords are completely closed at this time. When you are exerting force, the force is opposite. The resistance is in the diaphragm, so you will feel that your abdomen is very tight. It feels like you are suffocating. 4 As mentioned before, the vocal cords are completely closed, so the air cannot leak out, and the vocal cords cannot be vibrated to make sounds. So think from the opposite angle, if we can only let a little air out, then we can leave a small opening in the vocal cords to make sounds. But please note that the air leakage at this time must be controlled manually. It is not that the vocal cords are not able to close tightly while making sounds, resulting in air leakage. 5. Specific method: It is similar to the basic breathing training method. Take a deep breath, open your mouth and throat, and be careful to hold the air when inhaling, don't let it leak out. Then try to control it manually, leak a little, how much is a little, think about it yourself, the less the better, leak a little, and then hold it immediately. In this way, the vocal cords will perform such a movement. Originally, you inhale, let the air pass, the vocal cords open, and then you hold it, and it is completely closed again. Then you let out a little breath, the vocal cords will leave a little space, that part is not closed, and the breath can come out. Then hold the breath immediately again. The vocal cords become closed again. When doing it, you should focus on your abdomen and feel it tighten. If you feel your abdomen is very tired when you first start doing it, that's right. 6 This is a method to train the ability to close the vocal cords. This is a method, and you also need to use the feeling of closing the vocal cords when singing. The ability to close the vocal cords is directly proportional to the ability to control the breath. 7 For example, do this: inhale through your mouth, open your throat, and then without leaking air, slowly contract your abdomen a little bit. You will feel your abdomen is very tired, which is normal. Slowly feel it and you will find that your throat seems to be tightening and gathering strength. In fact, the interaction of forces is well reflected at this time. When you hold your breath, you are balanced, and the abdomen slowly tightens to increase strength. In that case, the upper part will also be affected if you want to keep air from leaking and prevent the breath from passing through the glottis. At this time, you will naturally strengthen the power of vocal cord closure. When you have a good vocal cord closure ability, then look for a backward, high position. Then get a good resonance before you can sing. It doesn't mean that having the ability to close the vocal cords can solve the high notes.
