Five essential methods of TCM treatment for renal cysts

Warming the spleen and kidneys can promote diuresis and reduce swelling. Representative prescription: Fuzi Lizhong Decoction combined with Zhenwu Decoction with modifications.

Third, TCM treatment of renal cysts with kidney deficiency, blood stasis and water accumulation syndrome: limb edema, oliguria, soreness of waist and knees, tinnitus, dark lips, dark eye sockets, dark purple nails, distension or stabbing pain in waist, tenderness of lower abdominal mass, pale and dark tongue, and thin and wiry pulse. Nourishes the kidney and promotes diuresis, promotes blood circulation and removes blood stasis. Representative prescription: Youguiyin combined with Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction, with modifications to Wuling San.

Fourth, Chinese medicine treats kidney cysts and kidney deficiency and hyperactivity of fire syndrome : short, red urine with blood, dizziness, tinnitus, fatigue, red cheeks, hot flashes, dry mouth and throat, sore waist and knees, red tongue, and thin and rapid pulse. Nourish yin and reduce fire, cool blood and stop bleeding. Representative prescription: Zhibai Dihuang Decoction combined with Xiaoji Yinzi with modifications.

Fifth, acupuncture treatment: Liver Shu, Spleen Shu, Kidney Shu, Zhibao, Feiyang, Taixi; Tanzhong, Jiuwei, Zhongwan, Jianshu, Qihai, Fuliu, Sanyinjiao. Treat 3 to 4 acupoints each time, using tonifying or draining methods based on the deficiency or excess of the syndrome, retaining the needles for 20 to 30 minutes, or using moxibustion, alternating between 2 groups of acupoints.
