Basic Content Abdominal acupuncture therapy is a new acupuncture method that uses the principles, methods, prescriptions and acupoints of traditional Chinese medicine to regulate internal organs and meridians through acupuncture in the abdomen to treat systemic diseases. It has the advantages of being simple, easy, safe and having a wide range of indications. Since the promotion of this therapy, it has received widespread attention from colleagues and experts in the acupuncture field. Abdominal acupuncture is a method of treating systemic diseases by pricking acupuncture points in the abdomen. The abdomen is closely connected with the internal organs and meridians of the whole body. The three yin meridians of the hand are connected to the large intestine, small intestine, and triple burner respectively, the three yang meridians of the hand are connected to the stomach, gallbladder, and bladder respectively, and the three yin meridians of the foot are connected to the liver, spleen, and kidneys respectively. These internal organs are all located in the abdomen. In addition, the foot yangming meridian "enters the abdomen", the foot yangming tendons "spread in the upper abdomen", the foot taiyin meridian "enters the abdomen", the foot jueyin meridian "reaches the lower abdomen", the concept meridian "runs along the abdomen", and the concept meridian collaterals "go down to the navel and spread in the abdomen". Therefore, the pathological changes of various internal organs will have certain reactions in the abdomen. Acupuncture of abdominal acupoints can regulate the qi and blood of the internal organs, thereby treating a variety of diseases. 2. Basic Technology Needles required Abdominal acupuncture needles are divided into three categories: A, B, and C according to the different diameters of the needles, which are Φ0.22mm, Φ0.20mm, and Φ0.18mm respectively; Each category is further divided into Type I, Type II, and Type III according to the different lengths of the needles, which are 50mm, 40mm, and 30mm respectively. 3. Acupuncture point selection method 1. Calibration of abdominal dimensions: bone dimension acupoint selection method. Calibration of the upper abdominal area: The distance from Zhongting point to Shenque point is determined to be 8 inches. Calibration of the lower abdomen: The distance from Shenque point to Qugu point is determined to be 5 inches. Calibration of the lateral abdomen: 6 inches is determined from Shenque, through Tianshu point to the mid-axillary line of the lateral abdomen. 2. Measurement of abdominal dimensions: horizontal line method. The straight-line distance on the horizontal line between the two acupoints, Zhongting and Shenque, is 8 inches. The straight-line distance on the horizontal line between the Shenque point and the Qugu point is 5 inches. The straight-line distance on the horizontal line between the two acupoints from the mid-axillary line of the lateral abdomen to the Shenque point is 6 inches. IV. Acupuncture Methods 1. Acupuncture techniques When inserting the needle, nerves and blood vessels should be avoided, and acupuncture should be performed in sequence according to the requirements of the prescription. (1) Needle insertion After accurate measurement and determination of the acupuncture point, a trocar is used to quickly insert it into the subcutaneous tissue. Acupuncture depth: shallow puncture - subcutaneous; medium puncture - fat layer; deep puncture - muscle layer. (2) Acupuncture ①Twist slowly without lifting or thrusting for 1-2 minutes ②Twist gently and lift slowly for 1-2 minutes (3) Needle removal The needles should be removed after 30 minutes of retention, and twisted slowly in the order of insertion. 5.
