Abdominal acupuncture therapy is a new acupuncture method that uses the principles, methods, prescriptions and acupoints of traditional Chinese medicine to regulate internal organs and meridians through acupuncture in the abdomen to treat systemic diseases. It has the advantages of being simple, easy, safe and having a wide range of indications. Since the promotion of this therapy, it has received widespread attention from colleagues and experts in the acupuncture field.

Abdominal acupuncture is a method of treating systemic diseases by pricking acupuncture points in the abdomen. The abdomen is closely connected with the internal organs and meridians of the whole body. The three yin meridians of the hand are connected to the large intestine, small intestine, and triple burner respectively, the three yang meridians of the hand are connected to the stomach, gallbladder, and bladder respectively, and the three yin meridians of the foot are connected to the liver, spleen, and kidneys respectively. These internal organs are all located in the abdomen. In addition, the foot yangming meridian "enters the abdomen", the foot yangming tendons "spread in the upper abdomen", the foot taiyin meridian "enters the abdomen", the foot jueyin meridian "reaches the lower abdomen", the concept meridian "runs along the abdomen", and the concept meridian collaterals "go down to the navel and spread in the abdomen". Therefore, the pathological changes of various internal organs will have certain reactions in the abdomen. Acupuncture of abdominal acupoints can regulate the qi and blood of the internal organs, thereby treating a variety of diseases.
