Ligaments play an important role in the human body. It connects bones, cushions the pressure of exercise on bones, and helps human body movement. Ligaments are also tissues that are very easy to be strained, especially in the feet. Women wearing high heels carelessly or getting injured during sports can cause the anterior talofibular ligament to rupture or be strained for a variety of reasons. What symptoms will you experience after a strain? How to protect yourself? The anterior talofibular ligament originates from the anterior edge of the lateral malleolus, runs anteriorly and medially, and ends at the talar neck. It is connected to the lateral edge of the talus just in front of the fibular articular surface and is easier to detect. The sonogram showed that the probe was perpendicular to the skin, with the external malleolus and talus as bony landmarks, and the ligament was an inverted triangular uniform low-echo structure with no obvious stripe-like structure inside. The base of the triangle slants from the lateral malleolus to the lateral edge of the talus. The edge of the base is clearly demarcated from the adjacent soft tissue, and the other two sides are also clearly demarcated from the fibular articular surface and the lateral edge of the talus. In the plantar flexion position, the area between the lateral malleolus and the talus is relatively flat, the ligament is stretched, and it is easiest to detect. Its sonogram is clearer than that in the dorsiflexion and neutral positions of the ankle joint. The general shape of the anterior talofibular ligament is a flat quadrilateral with wider ends and slightly narrower middle section. This structure is adapted to its function. The attachment sites of the talus and fibula are relatively wide, and the fibers are dispersed in a fan-shaped manner and cover the bone surface, increasing the attachment area and making the attachment more secure. When the ankle joint is in a neutral position, the direction of the anterior talofibular ligament is almost perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the fibula. This structure effectively limits the anterior displacement of the talus. But in fact, the ligament is at an angle of about 25° to the horizontal plane, which shows that the ligament also plays an important antagonistic role when the foot is inverted. In addition, the distal end of the ligament wraps around and ends at the anterior and lateral corner of the lateral articular surface of the talus, and forms an obvious rotation angle (140°±8°) with the middle section of the ligament. Moreover, the ligament rotation angle and its distal end, including the talar attachment area, are basically all in close contact with the talar bone surface. When the ankle joint is inverted and the talus moves anteriorly, this structure can effectively disperse the tension on the talar attachment area of the anterior talofibular ligament, reducing the possibility of tearing or rupture of the talar attachment area. KUMAI's experiments on the histology and immunohistochemistry of the anterior talofibular ligament also verified that the fibular attachment area of the ligament is more easily torn than the talar attachment area. Various soft tissue injuries (sprains, strains, bruises): Directly use bone-setting powder for external application. It is administered locally, allowing the medicine to quickly penetrate into the injured area, quickly relieve pain and swelling, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, and connect bones and tendons to achieve the treatment goal. It is safe and reliable, and should be the first choice if conditions permit. New injuries will relieve pain and swelling in 2-3 days, and heal in 3-6 days. Injuries within 3 months usually take 2-3 doses of medicine to heal. Severe injuries require 3-4 doses of medicine. Old injuries require 3-6 doses of medicine. Emergency treatment of soft tissue injuries to avoid nerve adhesion, muscle atrophy and other sequelae and complications. Note: Do not use if you have trauma or severe skin allergies. |
