Lotus money grass can be found in most parts of my country, especially in rural areas. It is also called money grass, falling money grass, etc. It is the dried above-ground part of the blood-activating dandelion. Unexpectedly, this usually inconspicuous perennial vine can also be used as a Chinese herbal medicine for treating diseases, and its medicinal value is also quite high. Lotus money grass can be eaten or used externally. It has the effects of promoting dampness and relieving stranguria, clearing away heat and detoxifying. Of course, the specific effects are definitely not limited to these. Let's talk about it in detail below. 1. Treatment of jaundice and ascites: 7-8 qian of Coptis chinensis, 4-5 qian each of Imperata cylindrica and Plantain, and 5 qian of Dioscorea paniculata. Decoction together. 2. To treat edema caused by nephritis: one liang each of lianqiancao and bianxucao, and five qian of shepherd's purse. Decoction. 3. Promote urination and treat bladder stones: 50 cents each of lianqiancao, longxucao and plantain. Decoction. 4. To treat malaria: before an attack of malaria, make pills out of seven leaves of the herb and plug them into the nose. The weight of Erlianqiancao is between 1.5 and 3 liang. Decoction in water and take in two doses, one dose per day for three consecutive days. 5. To treat cold and cough: 5-8 qian of fresh lianqiancao (3-5 qian of dried one) (wash), 0.5 liang of rock sugar. Add boiling water as needed, simmer for one hour, and take twice a day. 6. To treat fetal cough and uterine swelling: 3 to 5 qian each of Tuanmeng medicine, Jianjing medicine, Amaranthus macrophylla, and Huadie. Stew meat or chicken. 7. To treat leucorrhea: 50 cents of Radix Codonopsis pilosulae, 30 cents of Eucommia ulmoides and 15 cents of Akebia trifoliata. Decoction in water and add sugar. 8. To treat irregular menstruation and lower abdominal distension: take 3 grams each of Tuanjingyao and double-leaf lotus, and 2 grams of large-leaf mugwort. Eat with wine. 9. To treat rheumatoid arthritis: stir-fry the medicine with beaten wool wine and apply externally. 10. To treat infantile malnutrition: Take 3 grams of Coptis chinensis and appropriate amount of animal liver, stew them into juice and drink. 11. To treat boils, mumps, and skin bruises: mash fresh lianqiancao and apply externally. 12. Treatment of Baihudan: Fresh plantain and ground incense. Wash and mash it, add a little white wine, squeeze out the juice, and apply it to the affected area with goose feather. 13. Treat eczema and impetigo. Rice field dermatitis: half a pound each of fresh smilax glabra and wild chrysanthemum. Add water and bring to a boil. Use the heat to repeatedly scrub the affected area (if there are pustules, the pustules must be pricked). Then sprinkle the ulcerated area with prickly heat powder or tooth powder, once a day. If there is no obvious effect after three times, add half a pound of hibiscus bark or leaves and decoct and wash together. 14. To treat scabies: add a little salt to the herb, rub it frequently until it dissolves completely, and then use it for bathing. If you use decoction and washing, it will not be effective. 15. To treat snake bites: eat the raw herb of Coptis chinensis fresh and mash it to apply on the wound. |
