How to treat dizziness and headache

Dizziness and headaches are very common symptoms in daily life. Since they not only cause great harm to the body, but also seriously affect people's normal life and work, it is particularly important to find scientific and effective treatments. People can treat the disease by changing their posture, applying hot compresses, deep breathing, taking hot baths, and doing gymnastics. Long-term persistence will produce good results.

1. Dizziness

The most likely cause of dizziness when waking up early is long-term computer use, which causes problems with the cervical spine, compresses the vertebral artery, and affects blood supply to the brain. People who drink little water, exercise less, and have high blood viscosity are also prone to insufficient blood and oxygen supply to the brain. To prevent dizziness when waking up early, you can find a suitable pillow. The height should be 15-20 cm when you are lying on your back, and about 20-15 cm when you are sleeping on your side. This way, you can maintain the normal physiological curvature of your neck whether you sleep on your back or on your side. If you often feel dizzy in the morning, you should also check whether you have low blood pressure or anemia. Of course, not being able to get a proper rest at night can easily lead to the imbalance of yin and yang in the body, causing dizziness and headaches. If you have a yin deficiency, you are more likely to suffer from dizziness and headaches.

Working women who consume too much greasy food may experience dizziness. When the spleen and stomach function normally, clear air goes up and turbid air goes down. If you eat too much greasy food and exceed the functional limit of the spleen and stomach, it will damage the normal functioning of the spleen and stomach. Rich and greasy foods can easily lead to dampness and phlegm, which are factors that cause dizziness and headaches.

In addition, when people are in a depressed mood, it will also cause poor brain regulation, and they will experience insomnia, belching and other abnormalities in the rise and fall of qi, causing dizziness and headaches.

2. So, what should you do when you feel dizzy?

First, to prevent falling, you should squat on the spot, or better yet lie flat for a while. With acute dizziness, the body usually loses balance.

Second, if the dizziness is a first-time attack, don't panic. Because panic, tachycardia, and nausea are often complications of dizziness.

Third, closing your eyes or staring at a fixed object will also make you feel better.

3. Headache

After talking about dizziness, let’s talk about headaches. Headache can be said to be a very common symptom among modern working women. Headaches can be divided into distending pain, stabbing pain, throbbing pain, and cracking pain according to their nature, and can be divided into mild, moderate, and severe; headaches can be divided into occipital pain, neck pain, forehead pain, and top of the head pain according to their location. Professional women focusing on monitors for long periods of time, overusing their eyes, or lack of sleep due to busy work and long-term overtime are all direct causes of headaches. In addition, modern working women have to balance the dual responsibilities of family and career and bear greater pressure than men, which makes headaches the most common symptom of "office syndrome" in women.

Most people think that headaches are only caused by fatigue and stress. In fact, there are many reasons for headaches, such as physical factors of the head (nerves, inflammation, etc.), endocrine factors, neurological factors, environmental factors, drug factors, diet, taste, sleep, and diseases (lesions of the eyes, ears, nose and sinuses, teeth, neck, etc.) can all cause headaches.

We will not discuss here the headaches that professional women suffer from due to diseases, diet, physical factors (nerves, inflammation, etc.), endocrine factors, etc. We will only discuss tension headaches due to neuropsychiatric factors, environmental factors, etc.

The cause of tension headache is relatively simple, mostly caused by neuropsychiatric factors. Therefore, you should focus on relieving tension. Once you relax your whole body and mind, the headache will be alleviated.

IV. Treatment Recommendations

Change the inherent posture

Long-term unchanged posture may be the cause of your headaches, so correcting your posture may also relieve headaches.

Heat

When a tension headache occurs, applying a hot towel or heat pack to the painful area at the back of the head can relieve the headache.

Take a deep breath

If you are too busy at work to have time to relax, you can take deep breaths as much as possible, which can provide some relief from your headache in a short period of time.

Take a hot bath

If you have a headache in the office, women who have the conditions can take a hot bath immediately. Be careful not to use water that is too hot. You can use essential oils or aromatherapy that soothe nerves to relieve mental tension.

Do gymnastics

Repeatedly moving your neck, shoulders, and elbows, tensing and then relaxing the muscles, can enhance blood circulation and relieve pain.

Planting some plants in the office and opening windows frequently to allow air circulation can also relieve headaches. Taking a walk during work, drinking more green tea, staying relaxed, closing your eyes for a while or stretching outdoors every once in a while are also good ways to prevent tension headaches. Working women should remember not to take painkillers casually, because this cannot fundamentally solve the problem of headaches, but may easily damage brain nerves.
