1. What are the symptoms of intestinal perforation during colonoscopy?

Acute abdominal pain and peritoneal irritation are obvious. You need to go to the hospital for a paracentesis, which can reveal abdominal effusion, usually a yellow-green liquid. You also have a high fever and a very high white blood cell count. An experienced doctor can tell from your expression, but nothing is absolute. 7. If abnormalities are found during barium enema or intestinal examination, the nature and extent of the lesions need to be further clarified.

8. Determine the extent of lesions before colon cancer surgery, and conduct reexamination and follow-up of efficacy of colon cancer and polyps surgery.

9. Low intestinal obstruction of unknown cause.

Colonoscopy is no longer as painful as people imagined in the past, and most people can tolerate it.

3. Colonoscopy precautions

1. After biopsy or electroresection of polypectomy, please stay in bed and rest. Do not do strenuous exercise or barium enema examination within three days. After electrosurgical polypectomy, the doctor will generally require you to fast for three days and give you intravenous infusion depending on your condition. If there is no blood in the stool and the condition is satisfactory, you can be discharged from the hospital.

2. In the early stage, you may feel bloating and discomfort due to the accumulation of air in the large intestine, but it will gradually disappear after a few hours. If your abdominal distension is obvious, you should tell your doctor or nurse and the doctor will give you appropriate treatment.

3. If there are no special conditions, you can take normal food or eat according to the doctor's advice.

4. If you experience persistent abdominal pain or excessive bleeding in your stool, you should tell your doctor immediately to avoid accidents.
