When a woman becomes pregnant, there are many things she needs to pay attention to in life. She also needs to go to the hospital for prenatal check-ups in a timely and regular manner. Prenatal check-ups will allow her to understand the condition of the fetus in a timely manner, because during the pregnancy process, there will indeed be many things that are beyond our expectations. The placental edge and cervical opening are one of the situations. When this happens, pregnant women should stay in bed more and rest less, and walk less. In many cases, the placental edge will grow back on its own. Reasons why the lower edge of the placenta covers the cervix 1. Multiple pregnancies, multiple artificial abortions, multiple curettage and cesarean sections can all cause damage to the endometrium. When the fertilized egg implants into the uterine decidua, due to insufficient blood supply, the placenta expands in area in order to absorb sufficient nutrients, and even extends to the lower part of the uterus. 2. When the fertilized egg reaches the uterine cavity, its trophoblast is underdeveloped and has not yet developed to the stage where it can implant. It continues to migrate into the lower segment of the uterus, where it grows and develops to form a placenta previa. 3. Some scholars have suggested that smoking and drugs affect the blood supply to the uterus and placenta. In order to obtain more oxygen supply, the placenta expands its area and may cover the internal os of the cervix, forming placenta previa. 4. In multiple pregnancies, due to the large area of the placenta, it extends to the lower part of the uterus and even to the internal os of the cervix. What to do if the lower edge of the placenta covers the cervix 1. If the pregnancy is less than 28 weeks, it cannot be called placenta previa, but only the state of previa; 2. Don't exercise, walk less, remember not to squat, don't lift heavy objects, try to rest more and sleep on your left side; just focus on taking care of the fetus: don't be stressed. 3. Don’t be too tired: Pregnant women with high-risk pregnancies should rest more to avoid being too tired and affecting the smoothness of pregnancy and delivery. 4. Do not over-exercise: Excessive exercise may also cause placenta previa bleeding or other symptoms. Therefore, this type of pregnant woman should not engage in strenuous exercise. 5. Avoid lifting heavy objects: In the middle and late stages of pregnancy, you should be more careful about the details of your life. It is not advisable to lift heavy objects or exert force on your abdomen to avoid danger. 6. Seek medical attention immediately if you have bleeding: If you have bleeding symptoms, no matter how much blood is flowing, you should see a doctor immediately. If you meet a new obstetrician, you should also proactively inform him that you have a placenta previa. |
