If a woman feels that the discharge from her lower body is like menstruation, she should pay attention to it. There are many reasons for this symptom, which are often related to gynecological diseases. The most common one is Trichomonas vaginitis. At this time, she should go to the hospital for routine examination of leucorrhea and then receive regular treatment. She should also pay attention to personal hygiene, wear pure cotton underwear, change and wash underwear frequently, etc. Causes of Trichomonas vaginitis What are the causes of Trichomonas vaginitis? Its transmission channels are mainly divided into two types: direct transmission and indirect transmission. Direct transmission: through sexual intercourse; indirect transmission: through public baths, bathtubs, baths, swimming pools, toilets, clothing, equipment and dressings, etc. Anyone can be infected with Trichomonas vaginitis, but those with altered vaginal pH or weakened immune systems are more susceptible. Very few patients can recover on their own after being infected with Trichomonas, and even if they are cured, they may be infected again. The sources of infection of trichomoniasis are carriers and contaminated objects. How is Trichomonas vaginitis spread? There are two ways of transmission: direct transmission, i.e. sexual transmission, and indirect transmission. In foreign countries, vaginal trichomoniasis is mainly transmitted through sexual intercourse, so it is classified as a sexually transmitted disease. In our country, the mode of transmission is different. Due to my country's large population and relatively backward public health facilities compared with developed countries, transmission in public places has also become an important route of transmission. For example, if the seats in a public bath or the toilets in a public restroom are contaminated with the secretions of an infected person, then later visitors may be infected if they sit directly on the seats or toilets. The basins of public baths, swimming pools with high density and poor disinfection in summer, wearing other people's underwear, renting swimsuits, etc. may all cause the spread of Trichomonas. In addition, sharing of bathtubs among family members and medically induced cross-infection are also causes of indirect transmission of Trichomonas. How to treat Trichomonas vaginitis How to treat Trichomonas vaginitis? Since vaginitis is prone to recurrence, you should persist in taking the medication and continue to take the medication for about a week after the symptoms disappear. 1. Apply medicine to the vagina. Use Orinse Crystal Protein Gel after flushing the vagina every night. One course of treatment is 15 days. 2. When your spouse suffers from trichomoniasis, you should reduce or even avoid sexual intercourse. Use condoms during sexual intercourse. 3. Use a separate basin to wash your underwear. The patient's underwear and towels should be boiled and disinfected. 4. It is recommended to take showers and use baths less often. Since Trichomonas has a strong ability to survive in the external environment, and the bath temperature of around 40°C is the most suitable temperature for Trichomonas to grow, frequent tub baths can easily cause cross-infection. The bathtub at home should also be cleaned after use. Try not to use the toilet in a public toilet when defecating. Do not borrow other people's underwear or swimsuits, and do not swim in a swimming pool that is not properly disinfected. 5. The man should receive treatment together. Less than 20% of male trichomoniasis patients have symptoms, while the rest are symptomatic carriers. If only the wife is treated and the husband is not, and they have unprotected sexual intercourse, even if the wife is cured, she may be infected again by her husband through sexual intercourse. This cycle repeats itself over and over again, and trichomoniasis becomes stubborn and difficult to cure for both parties. Therefore, for women suffering from Trichomonas vaginitis, both husband and wife must be treated at the same time. 6. Oral medication. Since Trichomonas not only resides in the vagina, but may also hide in the lower urinary tract, Bartholin's glands and cervical glands, local medication alone cannot provide treatment in this case, so oral metronidazole is also needed. In order to prevent the recurrence of hidden Trichomonas, follow-up is necessary, that is, re-examination should be carried out 3 months after cure and after each menstruation. If the result is negative, local treatment should still be carried out 1 to 2 times to consolidate the therapeutic effect. Trichomonas lurking in the male urethra and prostate is often an important cause of recurrence in women. Therefore, checking the urine and prostatic fluid of the husband of the recurring patient should be a routine procedure and treatment should be carried out at the same time. |
