Frequent friction and some other factors can cause wounds on the human body. You must pay attention to wounds on the skin. If they are not properly cared for, they will become infected and fester. Therefore, you must find some suitable and effective methods to prevent the wounds from becoming infected and festering. In addition, you must pay attention to the care of the wounds. Try not to let the wounds get wet during the treatment period, because they are more susceptible to infection after contact with water. General wound care Use toothed tweezers to remove the dressing on the wound, and then use toothless tweezers to use iodine tincture and alcohol cotton balls to disinfect the skin around the wound. Use 3% hydrogen peroxide or saline to clean the wound (you can buy iodine disinfectant at the pharmacy). Be careful not to let alcohol soak into the injured skin to avoid causing pain. If needed, cover with Vaseline gauze or other gauze or gauze strips that promote wound healing, then cover with 3-4 layers of dry gauze, and finally, wrap it with adhesive tape or bandage. Change the wound dressing once every 1-4 days. Severe wound infection Wounds with a lot of pus, black tissue, foul odor, or green dressings are difficult to treat at home and should be treated in the hospital in time. Nursing Attention Do not allow the wound to get wet during treatment. To prevent infection, generally speaking, the wound needs to be cleaned in the following situations: 1. Wound infection 2 Excessive exudate 3. Necrotic tissue (dry scab or rotten tissue fragments) and foreign matter 4To reduce wound contamination When you decide to irrigate a wound, the irrigating fluid you choose must be harmless to the wound healing process. It has now been demonstrated that all surface disinfectants such as povidone-iodine and hydrogen peroxide have cytotoxic effects, so the use of topical antimicrobial drugs on wounds has been questioned. Currently, only water, normal saline (concentration 0.9%) and isotonic saline have been shown to have no effect on wounds. At the same time, the temperature of the flushing fluid needs to be kept close to normal body temperature. Because low temperature is not conducive to the division and proliferation of wound tissue cells. Generally speaking, if the local temperature of the wound drops by 2-3°C, it often takes 3-4 hours to return to the normal 37°C. Dietary precautions for surgical incisions Strengthen dietary nutrition, replenish protein, vitamin C, vitamin A, B2 and B6 and trace element zinc in time, eat more of the following foods on a daily basis: Vegetables: sea bass, pig's trotters, squab, tomatoes, bitter gourd, kelp, fungus, etc. Fruits: grapefruit, orange, strawberry, etc. Avoid spicy foods such as leeks. In addition, smoking, bad mood, and lack of confidence will affect wound healing. |
