There are three types of food that are particularly likely to cause dental problems in children.

Foods with high sugar content: Typical foods include candies, cakes, and especially imported milk powder. Carbonated drinks: Nowadays, many children like to drink cola-like carbonated drinks. These drinks contain sweeteners, sugar, carbon dioxide, etc., and are acidic. Long-term drinking can easily corrode teeth and make the tooth surface rough. Bacteria and pigments in the drinks are deposited on the tooth surface, making the teeth yellow and black, and in severe cases even leading to tooth decay.

Now that we know about foods that are harmful to children’s teeth, what foods are good for children’s teeth?

Chew vegetables refreshingly and clean tooth residue: Because children do not brush their teeth in time or brush their teeth improperly, there is easily residue in the mouth. Celery is a natural toothbrush. Celery contains a lot of crude fiber. When chewing, the crude fiber can clean the tooth surface through mechanical friction, which can wipe off the bacteria and debris adhering to the tooth surface. The harder you chew, the more it can stimulate the secretion of salivary glands and achieve the purpose of cleaning.

At the same time, raw carrots, broccoli, peas and other crisp vegetables, like celery, are "chewing foods" for children, as well as fruits, green leafy vegetables, onions, ginger, garlic, etc., which can eliminate bacteria in the teeth. Children's teeth are fragile and their resistance is weak, so various bacteria can easily breed in their mouths, causing gingivitis, dental plaque, etc. Green leafy vegetables, strawberries, kiwis, cantaloupes and other fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamin C. Eating more of these foods can not only kill bacteria, but also promote the production of collagen needed by the gums, making the gums healthier. Onions, ginger, garlic, including onions, mustard and other stimulating foods, are indispensable in cooking and are also very beneficial to teeth. They can inhibit bacteria and kill bacteria, maintaining the health of the mouth and teeth.
