What are the symptoms of a fever?

Fever is a common problem. Both adults and children may have a fever due to various reasons, so we should pay attention to some symptoms of fever. The most common symptoms of fever are long-lasting pain, runny nose, sputum, difficulty breathing, or nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, etc., so we should also pay attention to these symptoms of the body.

1. The onset is relatively rapid and there is a history of contact with infectious patients, mostly acute infectious diseases or acute inflammation. The fever of this disease is short-lived. If the fever lasts for more than two weeks, it is usually caused by diseases such as tuberculosis, typhoid fever, rheumatism, sepsis, etc., and should be taken seriously. 2. If you have a sore throat, runny nose, sputum, chest pain, difficulty breathing, and are accompanied by nasal congestion, red and swollen throat, rash, and abnormal chest percussion, it is mostly a respiratory infection, such as upper respiratory tract infection, influenza, bronchitis, pneumonia, pleurisy, tuberculosis, measles, rubella, etc.

3. If nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea with a feeling of falling or bloody stools occur during fever, accompanied by abdominal distension, abdominal tenderness, abdominal tension, jaundice, hepatosplenomegaly, etc., it is mostly a digestive system infection, such as dysentery, enteritis, hepatitis, acute appendicitis, typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, etc. 4. Those who experience migratory joint pain during fever, accompanied by tachycardia, heart murmurs, subcutaneous nodules, and annular erythema are mostly suffering from rheumatic fever. 5. Local pain during fever, accompanied by local redness, swelling, suppuration or ulceration, is mostly caused by infection, such as otitis media, tonsillitis, and skin infection. 6. If fever, rash and itchy skin occur after taking the medicine and infusion, it is mostly an allergic reaction.

7. It should be reminded that patients should be especially careful not to take antipyretics casually. Fever is the body's weapon against pathogens. When the body temperature reaches above 39°C, the virulence of influenza virus in the body will gradually be weakened. If you can tolerate this high fever and your cardiovascular system is normal, it is best not to take medicine to reduce the fever. You can use cold water and vinegar to soak a towel and apply it to your forehead. At the same time, use another towel dipped in vinegar water to wipe your hands and feet, and the heat will slowly subside. Otherwise, when the body is using high fever to fight the virus, you take medicine to reduce the fever rapidly, which destroys the self-defense instinct and helps the virus to spread.
