Hello, this examination is painless. Generally, the larger superficial lymph node is selected. Before puncture or biopsy, lidocaine is injected for anesthesia. The organization required is relatively small. Lymph puncture pain treatment method 1. Choose a site suitable for puncture, generally taking the more obviously enlarged lymph nodes. 2. Routinely disinfect the local skin and the operator's fingers. 3. The operator fixes the lymph node with the index finger and thumb of the left hand, holds a 10ml dry syringe in the right hand and inserts the needle directly into the lymph node. The depth depends on the size of the lymph node. The operator then withdraws the needle while suctioning vigorously, using the negative pressure in the empty needle to suck out the fluid and cellular components in the lymph node. 4. Fix the plug in the syringe, pull out the needle and remove the syringe. After inflating, spray the extracted liquid in the needle onto a glass slide to make a uniform smear, which is then stained for microscopic examination. 5. After the operation, the puncture site was covered with sterile gauze and fixed with adhesive tape. Notes 1. It is best to perform the puncture before meals to avoid excessive lipids in the aspirate, which would affect staining. 2. If the aspirate cannot be obtained, the needle can be inserted again from the original puncture point, and continuous puncture in different directions and aspiration can be performed several times until the aspirate is obtained as long as no bleeding occurs. 3. Be careful to choose a site that is easy to fix. The lymph nodes should not be too small and should be away from large blood vessels. 4. Before making a smear, pay attention to the appearance of the extract. Generally, the fluid extracted from inflammation is slightly yellowish; caseous substances can be seen in tuberculosis lesions, and tuberculous pus contains yellow-green or dark gray viscous fluid.Lymph nodes are distributed throughout the body. Many reasons can cause lymph node swelling, such as infection (bacteria, viruses, fungi, filariasis), tuberculosis, hematopoietic system tumors (leukemia, lymphoma), metastatic tumors, etc. Lymph node puncture is used to obtain aspirate fluid, which can be used to make smears for cytological or bacteriological examination to assist in the diagnosis of the above diseases. |
