What medicine can I use to heal the wound quickly?

When a wound appears, the first thing to do is to clean the wound and carry out anti-inflammatory treatment. The use of some anti-inflammatory drugs can prevent the occurrence of infection, which can promote wound healing and scabbing. The more common drugs are alcohol, iodine, hydrogen peroxide, saline, etc., and corresponding topical drugs can be used for treatment according to the different wound sites. In addition, oil gauze, yellow gauze, etc., can help speed up the recovery of the wound.

What medicine can I use to heal the wound quickly?

1. Cleaning and disinfecting agents

Alcohol, tincture of sulfone (or sulfamethoxazole), hydrogen peroxide, mercurochrome, and saline.

2. Dressings

Gauze pads, cotton balls, cotton swabs, bandages, adhesive tape, and Band-Aids. If you make your own gauze pieces, cotton balls, or cotton swabs, you can place them in the lunch box and sterilize them in a high-pressure steamer for five minutes.

①Oil gauze (vaseline gauze)

Vaseline gauze is mostly used for wounds that have not healed for a long time after ulceration or surgery but have granulation tissue growing, or superficial abrasions. In order to protect the new granulation tissue and facilitate the growth of epithelial tissue, oil gauze strips are often used to cover them. The role of oil gauze cannot be underestimated. For example, when a sore breaks, drainage with oil gauze strips is better than drainage with yellow gauze strips.

②Yellow gauze (Levnol gauze)

For infected wounds or wounds with bleeding due to trauma, use yellow gauze to reduce inflammation, fight bacteria and dry. For example, many Band-Aids are made of yellow gauze as the main material. It is beneficial to wound healing when applied to the wound surface, can isolate the invasion of bacteria, has a bactericidal function, and can also prevent bleeding and adhesion of granulation tissue, as well as damage to new granulation tissue.

Yellow gauze strips can be made at home. Buy isanol or levanol and sterile gauze pieces at a medical supermarket. Cut the sterile gauze into appropriate sizes in a sterile container and soak it in isanol or levanol. If there is local redness and signs of ulceration, use yellow sand strips.

How to treat wounds

1. Thorough debridement

When we accidentally fall and break our skin in life, many people will think that it is just a small wound, which is nothing. However, after a long time, you will find that it has not healed. This is because the wound is repeatedly infected without treatment, which leads to slow healing. Therefore, you must clean the wound thoroughly!

2. Proper disinfection

Wounds should be disinfected quickly. For primary suture incisions, you can use an alcohol cotton ball to scrub the wound from the center to the outside 2 to 3 times; for wounds with wound surfaces, after washing with disinfectant, you can rinse off the disinfectant with saline. If the local infection has been controlled, try to avoid using disinfectants to clean the wound surface.

3. Appropriate bandage

Don't tie the wound too tightly, keep the wound moist and allow it to fully contact with oxygen, especially during the wound proliferation period. Keeping the wound moist can increase the regeneration energy and migration speed of cortical cells and promote healing. Studies have found that moist wounds heal 1.5 times faster than dry wounds.
