When we brush our teeth in the morning, our gums often bleed, especially when the gums are inflamed, the bleeding is very severe. In addition to getting angry, many oral diseases can also cause symptoms of bleeding gums. For Western medicine, there are many types and relative treatments. So, how does traditional Chinese medicine explain bleeding gums? Depending on the location of bleeding, Chinese medicine's diagnosis and treatment are also different. Gingival bleeding is one of the common symptoms in dentistry. It refers to a small amount of bleeding of the gums caused spontaneously or due to slight stimulation. In mild cases, there will be blood in the saliva only when sucking, brushing teeth, and chewing hard food. In severe cases, the gums will bleed more or even spontaneously when they are slightly stimulated. Generally speaking, chronic inflammation of the gums is a common cause of gingival bleeding, so gingival bleeding is more common in patients with periodontitis and gingivitis; but sometimes it can also be an oral manifestation of certain systemic diseases, which should be given sufficient attention. Generally speaking, if the gums are not swollen or painful but are bleeding, it is because of kidney yin deficiency and virtual fire rising; if the gums are swollen, painful and bleeding, it is because of real fire rushing up from the stomach. If it is caused by kidney yin deficiency, the treatment is to nourish kidney water. If it is caused by stomach fire, the treatment is to clear stomach heat. Folk remedies: 1. To treat toothache caused by heat, take a raw egg, break it and put it in a cup, then add a spoonful of vinegar and a spoonful of sugar, stir thoroughly and hold it in your mouth. Swallow it after a few dozen seconds. It will work quickly. 2. For toothache caused by caries, take 5 grams of pepper, add appropriate amount of rice vinegar and boil them together. After the decoction cools down, use it to gargle, which is effective quickly. 3. To clear away heat and fire and treat toothache, you can choose loofah and ginger soup. Take 100 grams of ginger and 500 grams of loofah, wash and cut them, add water and boil them. Eat the melon and drink the soup like you usually cook. This recipe also has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxifying. Gingival bleeding can be divided into passive bleeding and active bleeding (spontaneous bleeding). 1. Passive bleeding: It is mainly manifested by rupture of capillaries in the gums and bleeding when brushing, eating, or sucking. The amount of blood is small, and blood can be seen in the saliva, or there is blood staining on the food eaten and the toothbrush bristles. It can stop by itself after rinsing with cold water. 2. Active bleeding (spontaneous bleeding): refers to the fact that slight stimulation can cause heavy bleeding of the gums, or bleeding of the gums without any stimulation. The bleeding is widespread, the amount is large and it is difficult to stop. This symptom is often related to the patient's overall health condition. |
