What's wrong with the red blood streaks under the nose?

The nose is a very important organ and is also a part that is very prone to problems. Acne tends to grow on and around the nose, and this is also where blackheads gather. Everyone is familiar with problems that are easy to solve, but the specific reasons for the red threads under the nose are not clear. So, what's the matter with the red blood streaks under the nose?

1. What is the reason for the red blood streaks under the nose?

The causes of nasal capillary dilation are very complex. Currently, most scholars believe that Demodex infection is an important factor in the onset of the disease, but not the only factor. Alcoholism, spicy food, high temperature and cold stimulation, digestion, endocrine disorders, etc. can also induce nasal capillary dilation.

In addition, long-term mental stress, gastrointestinal dysfunction, smoking, alcoholism, and eating spicy and irritating foods can also induce nasal capillary dilation.

2. Examination and diagnosis of red blood streaks under the nose

The symptoms of nasal capillary dilation are obvious bloodshot on both sides of the nose. Patients with severe disease may develop chronic inflammatory skin lesions on the nose, which mostly occur in middle-aged men. It usually presents as redness on the outer skin of the nose, most notably at the tip of the nose. The capillaries in the nose are obviously dilated, and sometimes you can see the dilated small blood vessels in a branch-like shape through the skin. Due to the vigorous secretion of local sebaceous glands, the nose appears red and bright. As the disease progresses, the skin may proliferate and thicken, and even develop rashes or small pustules, and the appearance may become rough and uneven, forming "rosacea".

3. Treatment of red blood streaks under the nose

3.1. General treatment: Eat a light diet, eat more fruits and vegetables, avoid irritating foods and drinks, and correct constipation.

3.2. If there is a mite infection, you can choose to use some mite-killing drugs.

3.3. When there are red spots on the nose, you need to take oral anti-inflammatory drugs for one week.

3.4. Other triggering factors such as overheating, spicy food, drinking, coffee, etc., and environmental factors such as sun exposure and emotional excitement should be avoided.

3.5. If capillary dilation (red blood streaks on the nose) occurs, laser surgery is required. First of all, we need to consider seborrheic dermatitis, which is a chronic skin inflammation that occurs on the basis of sebum secretion. It is often distributed in areas where sebaceous glands secrete actively, such as the forehead, eyelids, nasochetal grooves, scalp, etc.
