Brown discharge in female genitals

Apart from leucorrhea, which is a normal secretion for women, any other secretions are generally abnormal. The color of vaginal discharge is easy to identify, and abnormal discharge is usually other colors, such as brown discharge. There are many possible reasons for brown discharge from a woman's private parts, most of which are caused by gynecological diseases. It is important to determine the cause as soon as possible. So, what is the reason for brown discharge from women’s private parts? Let’s take a look below.

Brown discharge from a woman's vagina is an abnormal leucorrhea . Gynecological diseases that cause brown leucorrhea often include vaginitis and cervicitis. Irregular menstruation is a precursor to many gynecological diseases. It is best to go to the hospital for a routine leucorrhea examination to avoid delaying the best treatment time. A gynecologist from Chengdu Victoria Women's Hospital said: Normal leucorrhea is transparent and odorless. If your leucorrhea is brown and sticky, it is usually a sign of gynecological inflammation, which may be caused by vaginitis or cervicitis. It is recommended to do a routine examination of leucorrhea.

1. Vaginal cleanliness can be divided into 4 levels: Levels I to II are normal, and levels III to IV are abnormal leucorrhea, indicating vaginal inflammation.

2. Fungi and Trichomonas: After the leucorrhea is processed, its appearance can be used to detect the presence of Trichomonas or fungi under a microscope.

4. Clue cells: Clue cells refer to the presence of many bacilli aggregated at the edge of the vaginal epithelial cells in patients with bacterial vaginosis. In the hanging drop smear, the edges of the vaginal epithelial cells are granular or stippled, making them blurry. These are clue cells. They are the most sensitive and specific sign of bacterial vaginitis. Clinical doctors can make a diagnosis of bacterial vaginitis based on a positive amine test and the presence of clue cells.

5. pH value : After puberty, due to the stimulation of ovarian sex hormones, the mucosal epithelial cells are rich in animal starch, which is converted into lactic acid after being decomposed by vaginal lactobacilli. As a result, the secretions in the vagina are weakly acidic, which can prevent pathogens from multiplying in the vagina. This is the self-cleaning function of the vagina.
