What are the benefits of eating goji

Wolfberry is a very precious Chinese medicinal material with a wide range of medicinal value. It contains rich nutrients. The wolfberry can be dried and processed and then soaked in water to drink. The effect will become more lasting and significant. It also has anti-aging and cancer effects. Especially for male friends, it can prevent themselves from a series of male diseases such as kidney deficiency, impotence and sexual dysfunction.

The fruit (called wolfberry in traditional Chinese medicine) has the same medicinal functions as Ningxia wolfberry; the root bark (called Di Gupi in traditional Chinese medicine) has the effect of relieving fever and relieving cough.

Harvesting and processing: Wolfberry: The fruits gradually turn red and ripen from June to November, and need to be harvested in batches. The fresh fruits should be quickly spread on sugarcane, with a thickness of no more than 3 cm, generally 1.5 cm is appropriate, and placed in a cool place to dry until the skin is wrinkled, then exposed to the sun until the skin hardens, and when the flesh is soft, remove the fruit stalks and dry them again. Wolfberry leaves: picked from spring to early summer, washed and used fresh.

Main ingredients: Wolfberry contains betaine, atropine and gyoscyamine.

Lycium barbarum polysaccharide: Lycium barbarum polysaccharide is a water-soluble polysaccharide and the main active ingredient in wolfberry. Its relative molecular mass is 68-200 and it has become a research hotspot at home and abroad. Among them, the most research is on the immunomodulatory and anti-tumor effects of Lycium barbarum polysaccharides. Many studies have shown that Lycium barbarum polysaccharides have the effects of promoting immunity, anti-aging, anti-tumor, scavenging free radicals, anti-fatigue, anti-radiation, liver protection, and protecting and improving reproductive function.

Betaine: Its chemical name is 1-carboxy-N, N, N-trimethylaminoethyllactone. Its chemical structure is similar to that of amino acids and it belongs to the quaternary ammonium base class. Betaine is one of the main bioalkalis in wolfberry fruit, leaves and petioles. The effect of wolfberry on lipid metabolism or anti-fatty liver is mainly due to the betaine it contains, which acts as a methyl donor in the body. Research on betaine in wolfberry is limited to the determination of content, extraction process and physiological effects on wolfberry plants (enhanced salt tolerance) in China. There are few studies on the pharmacology and efficacy of betaine in wolfberry.

Lycium pigment: Lycium pigment is a type of coloring substance found in wolfberry berries and is an important physiologically active ingredient in wolfberry seeds. Mainly includes beta-carotene, lutein and other colored substances. The carotenoids contained in wolfberry have very important medicinal value. Many studies have shown that wolfberry seed pigments have the effects of improving human immune function, preventing and inhibiting tumors, and preventing atherosclerosis. Carotene is the main active ingredient of wolfberry pigment, which has important physiological functions such as anti-oxidation and serving as a synthetic precursor of vitamin A.
