Moxibustion is a relatively traditional treatment method of traditional Chinese medicine in my country. It has a wide range of treatments and can prevent and treat diseases. It is also common to use moxibustion to treat gynecological diseases. Through the selection of certain acupoints, it can promote blood circulation and promote the absorption of inflammation. It can play a certain role in the treatment of gynecological diseases. Let us learn about this aspect below. Which gynecological diseases can be treated by moxibustion? 1. The most commonly used acupoints for gynecological inflammation are Qihai, Guanyuan and Zhongji points in the lower abdomen . If the menstruation is scanty, you can add the Shuidao acupoint. "Waterway" is the channel for water to flow out, which is on both sides of Guanyuan. If it is the adnexitis below, which we generally call pelvic inflammatory disease, or metritis, or cervicitis, you can use Zhongji combined with Sanyinjiao. These two acupoints are also suitable for men's prostatitis, prostatic hypertrophy and prostatic hyperplasia. The effects of using moxa sticks to moxibustion these two acupoints are very good, and some are even effective very quickly and are less likely to relapse. But there is a prerequisite, that is, continue to do moxibustion after recovery. 2. Another thing is bleeding. For functional uterine bleeding, if the amount of bleeding is relatively large, there is an acupoint that has a very good treatment effect. This acupoint is on the spleen meridian and is called Yinbai. This acupoint is located on the medial edge of the foot, in the depression between the red and white flesh at the posterior and inferior part of the big toe (first metatarsophalangeal joint). To find the position, sit upright, put your left foot on your right leg, and use the thumb of your right hand to press the inner edge of the foot (the inner side of the foot), the depression behind the raised bone near the base of the big toe. There is one Yinbai on each foot, and the method of finding the right foot is the same as the left foot. We have had some cases of functional uterine bleeding, and they could be cured by moxibustion once or twice. You can use moxa sticks or moxa cones to do moxibustion directly. Just do it two or three times. For moxibustion with moxa sticks, just fumigate for a while. 3. Another thing is changing the fetal position. Generally, moxibustion should be used with caution during pregnancy, especially in the lumbar and sacral areas, but changing the fetal position is a different matter. A very important acupoint for treating fetal position change is Zhiyin point, which is now used in various hospitals and even among the public. Moxibustion on Zhiyin point to change the fetal position. Zhiyin point is located on the outside of the little toe, 0.1 inch next to the corner of the toenail root. To find this acupoint, sit upright, bend your left leg and place it upward in front of your body. Bend over, hold your foot with your left hand, palm facing up, using four fingers, with the thumb on the outside, bent and placed on the outer end of the little toe. The point is located slightly behind the outer corner of the little toe nail. The method for finding the right side is the same as that for the left side. Postpartum conditioning is about physical weakness, which is generally due to excessive blood loss. Zhongwan and Pishu can be added. 4. The commonly used acupoints in gynecology include the spleen point, liver point, and kidney point on the back , three acupoints, and then the Qihai, Guanyuan, Zhongji, and Sanyinjiao. These acupoints are all commonly used acupoints in gynecology. As for which one to use specifically, you can choose the one that you think is closest to your disease. The criteria for selecting acupoints are very simple. One is local, that is, you should select the acupoints where you think you have the disease. Another thing is the corresponding acupoints. For example, for cervicitis, you can take the Zhongji point, which is opposite the Shenshu point on the back. Add it and then the Sanyinjiao point. Let’s take a look at this rule. Zhongji is the point near the lesion. Zhongji belongs to the kidney, so the acupoint of the kidney is chosen. On this meridian, there is another acupuncture point at the distal end, which is Sanyinjiao. This is one idea for selecting acupuncture points. Taboos of moxibustion Since moxibustion is performed with fire, carelessness during the application may cause local skin burns. On the other hand, the process of moxibustion will consume some essence and blood, so some parts of the body or some people cannot be moxibustioned. These are the taboos of moxibustion. There are many taboos in ancient moxibustion. Although some taboos can be broken, there are some situations where they should indeed be avoided. |
