What should I do if there is an abscess next to my tooth?

Many people get inflamed because they often eat hot pot, and because it is hot in the summer, they eat skewers more often. Eating dry and hard things for a long time is very bad for the body. Of course, when an abscess grows next to the tooth, it means that you have an inflammation caused by getting inflamed. You need to take anti-inflammatory measures in time and keep your diet light.

In fact, this is mostly caused by chronic inflammation of the roots of adjacent teeth, also known as chronic apical periodontitis. Generally, the teeth will have lesions such as caries, defects, cracks, or have a history of treatment. Dental films can often show images of apical bone destruction. The vast majority of apical periodontitis develops from pulpitis. When pulpitis is not treated in time, the pulp becomes infected and necrotic, and develops to the root of the tooth, causing inflammation of the tissues around the root. This is apical periodontitis. It can be considered that apical periodontitis is caused by the spread of inflammation inside the tooth to the outside of the tooth.

If you suffer from apical periodontitis, you will have biting pain on your teeth, which may be severe and sometimes relatively mild. Some patients with apical periodontitis do not feel much discomfort. This is because their resistance is strong, which suppresses the inflammation of the tooth root and makes the inflammation a chronic process. When a person is sick or tired, his resistance is reduced, inflammation occurs, and pustules or granulations (fistulas) appear on the gums. When inflammation occurs acutely, it will cause the teeth to loosen to a certain extent, and sometimes the gums will swell or pus will overflow, causing severe pain.

Once you understand the cause of the disease, you don't have to worry too much. As long as you perform timely and thorough root canal treatment, remove the infected material in the tooth root, thoroughly disinfect it, and fill it tightly, it is possible to eliminate the inflammation and save the affected tooth.
