Pustules on the buttocks

Pustules on the buttocks

In daily life, many people often have pustules on their bodies, but the pustules in the body do not look very serious, so people always think that there is no need to clean them. There are also problems with pustules on the body. Most of them have bacterial infection factors. They can be slowly adjusted through treatment and care to prevent worsening of the phenomenon.

Treatment and care?

Perianal abscess is not uncommon in adults. It is an acute suppurative infection of the soft tissue of the rectum and anal canal, mostly caused by anal sinusitis. But why does this disease favor newborn babies so much? The following reasons are for your reference:

1. The sacral curvature of the spine of babies (especially newborns and infants) has not yet formed, and the rectum and anal canal are in a vertical state. Feces directly press on the anal sinus, causing damage, infection, and inflammation;

2. The skin of the baby's anus is delicate, with poor mechanical resistance to external stimuli and pathogen invasion. In addition, the sebaceous glands and anal glands have relatively strong secretions, which constitutes a high incidence factor of perianal abscess in babies;

3. Improper local care, failure to change diapers in time or using poor quality diapers (diapers are not recommended for newborns), and repeated friction with hard paper when wiping the buttocks, causing skin damage. These are all risk factors unique to infant patients, which are different from those in adults.

Regarding treatment, once an abscess is formed, incision and drainage surgery is inevitable. After the operation, the dressing needs to be changed every day, the abscess cavity needs to be cleaned, and the wound needs to be kept open to allow fresh granulation tissue to grow from the inside out and gradually fill the abscess cavity, so that the skin wound can heal. Otherwise, it is very easy to relapse. Even so, the recurrence rate of this disease is relatively high, after all, the risk factors still exist.

How to prevent perianal abscess in babies? What we can do is to strengthen the care of the anal and perineal areas, change diapers in time, avoid repeated local wiping with excessive force, correct diarrhea or constipation in time, and reduce the chance of infection. As the baby grows, the risk factors gradually disappear, and perianal abscesses rarely occur again.
