Red blood spots on the eyeball

Red blood spots on the eyeball
A person's eye is made up of many parts, and the eyeball is also a very important part of the eye. When there is a problem with the eyeball, it will have a direct impact on people's lives and bodies, such as affecting people's vision. Some people have also experienced red blood spots on their eyeballs. This symptom is related to many factors, so treatment measures should continue to be taken.

1. Conjunctival hemorrhage The white part of the eyeball surface is congested. This is a conjunctival hemorrhage. The thin membrane covering the surface of the eyeball is called the conjunctiva, which contains capillaries, but it is invisible at ordinary times and can only be seen when inflammation occurs. If the climate is relatively dry, it is easy to cause capillary bleeding. There is no need to worry about this bleeding. If you ignore it, the bleeding will be absorbed by itself. If it exceeds 24 hours, you can consider doing wet hot compresses to promote the absorption of bleeding.

2. Other reasons There are many reasons for blood spots on the eyeball, the most common ones are retinal vein occlusion, retinal perivenitis, optic disc vasculitis, age-related macular disc degeneration, central exudative chorioretinitis, macular hemorrhage due to high myopia, etc.

3. Pay attention to the bloodshot eyes because there are blood vessels in the eyes. When you don’t sleep well, the blood vessels become congested and the bloodshot eyes will be more serious than usual. Of course, some people are born with thicker blood vessels in their eyes than others. Moreover, if the eyes are over-strained or infected, blood vessels may rupture and cause bleeding. If blood spots appear in the white part of the eye, it is medically called subconjunctival hemorrhage. There are no obvious subjective symptoms. The bleeding can occur in both eyes. Most of the time, it manifests as flake bleeding, which then spreads to the entire white part of the eye, and the area around the cornea appears dark red.
