If the dermatitis is on the extremities, soak or wet compress with warm potassium permanganate solution, 34 times a day. For the first cleaning, use a little alkaline soap or neutral soap. After washing with soapy water, rinse with plenty of water. 3. Avoid further stimulation. It is strictly forbidden to wash with hot water, rub, scratch or eat irritating food. When the dermatitis area is red and swollen or has a small amount of papules and blisters but no skin breaks or pus discharge, you can apply calamine lotion to keep the affected area dry and relieve itching. Calamine lotion has a heat-dissipating effect, which can lower skin temperature and is effective for general inflammatory reactions. After the skin is dry, you can apply corticosteroid cream or other soothing and antipruritic agents.
