Leg shaking is mentally retarded

Leg shaking is a very impolite behavior. Many people think that leg shaking is a mentally retarded behavior caused by the patient's inability to control himself. Leg shaking has nothing to do with IQ. It is just a personal physical problem. Some people shake their legs deliberately due to habit, while others have pathological factors that cause their legs to shake involuntarily, which is uncontrollable.

The medical community is far from reaching a consensus on the cause of the disease . Some people believe that anemia can cause leg shaking, some believe that poor kidney function is the cause, and others believe that there is something wrong with the nervous system of patients with leg shaking. But these seem to be external factors, because scientists have found that leg shaking has a clear genetic tendency.

In 2007, two groups of scientists from Germany and Iceland announced almost simultaneously that they had found the leg shaking gene. They used advanced gene locus analysis technology to analyze the differences between the genotypes of people with a family history of leg shaking and normal people, and found three gene mutations related to leg shaking.

Further analysis showed that about 65% of Europeans and Americans carry at least one of these gene mutations, which means that the relationship between leg shaking and genes is not a one-to-one relationship, but requires stimulation from environmental factors to manifest itself.

Symptoms and signs/mental retardation MR is generally divided into four levels: mild, moderate, severe and very severe based on IQ and adaptive behavior defects. 1. Mild MR, also known as idiocy in psychiatry, with an IQ of 50 to 70. There are mild defects in adaptive behavior. The children develop slightly slower in early years than normal children and are not as lively as normal children. They lack interest in things around them. They do things by the rules or act roughly. Their speech development is slightly delayed. They have little abstract vocabulary, poor analytical ability, superficial understanding of problems, and average academic performance. Children can recite the text but cannot correctly apply arithmetic word problems. Through special education, children can acquire practical skills and useful reading abilities, and when they grow up they can do general housework and simple concrete work. They lack independent opinions, are highly dependent, are not good at coping with external changes, are easily influenced and dominated by others, and can adapt to society under guidance.
