How to maintain pregnancy after IVF?

In recent years, more and more couples have suffered from infertility and finally have no choice but to choose in vitro fertilization. With the continuous advancement of medical technology, the success rate of in vitro fertilization is constantly increasing. If you want to achieve 100% success, you can choose medication to protect the fetus, conduct timely pregnancy check-ups, eat a healthy diet, make a good combination of meat and vegetables, avoid eating highly irritating foods, and finally maintain a happy mood.

1. Drugs to preserve pregnancy

The early treatment of the test tube will affect the corpus luteum function. Progesterone and estrogen need to be increased after embryo transfer. Luteal preservation is currently a commonly used method of preserving the pregnancy. There are three types clinically, namely oral progesterone capsules, intramuscular progesterone injections, and local administration of vaginal suppositories or gels. In addition, commonly used drugs include dydrogesterone tablets, human chorionic gonadotropin, estradiol valerate, etc.

2. Pregnancy check

Pregnancy check-ups are necessary measures to protect the fetus, and women generally need regular check-ups in the early and middle stages of pregnancy. 14 days after the transplant surgery, come to the hospital for a fasting blood test to measure serum HCG. Generally, a value greater than 50 Miu/ml indicates pregnancy. Continue the fetal preservation treatment for 14-21 days and have an ultrasound. If an intrauterine gestational sac, fetal bud, and fetal heartbeat are seen, clinical pregnancy can be confirmed. Pregnancy preservation treatment generally needs to be maintained until 55 days after embryo transfer.

3. Healthy diet

The diet is similar to normal. If you like spicy food, you can continue to eat spicy food. You can eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as protein-rich foods such as milk, eggs, and lean meat.

4. Relax

During the pregnancy preservation treatment, relax, maintain a good and peaceful attitude, and don't be nervous. If the conditions are right and it is time to get pregnant, you will get pregnant naturally. Excessive anxiety is of no help to pregnancy. It will only lead to endocrine abnormalities in the body and is not conducive to pregnancy. Peace of mind is the most important!

5. Follow-up of discomfort

After embryo transfer, if vaginal bleeding symptoms occur, you must be highly vigilant and find out whether it is an ectopic pregnancy or a precursor to miscarriage due to transfer failure. Pregnant women and their families need to pay close attention.
